Genesis 22

1 After these things occurred, God tested Abraham, and he said to him, “Abraham, Abraham.” And he answered, “Here I am.”	1 Dopo avvenute queste cose, Dio tentò Abramo, e gli disse: Abramo, Abramo. Ed egli rispose: Eccomi.
2 He said to him: “Take your only begotten son Isaac, whom you love, and go into the land of vision. And there you shall offer him as a holocaust upon one of the mountains, which I will show to you.”	2 E quegli disse: Prendi il tuo figliuolo unigenito, il diletto Isacco, e va' nella terra di visione: e ivi lo offerirai in olocausto sopra uno de' monti, il quale io t'indicherò.
3 And so Abraham, getting up in the night, harnessed his donkey, taking with him two youths, and his son Isaac. And when he had cut wood for the holocaust, he traveled toward the place, as God had instructed him.	3 Abramo adunque alzatosi, che era ancor notte, imbastò il suo asino, e prese seco due giovani, e Isacco suo figliuolo: e avendo tagliate le legna per l'olocausto, s'incamminò verso il luogo assegnatogli da Dio.
4 Then, on the third day, lifting up his eyes, he saw the place at a distance.	4 E il terzo giorno, alzati gli occhi, vide da lungi il luogo:
5 And he said to his servants: “Wait here with the donkey. I and the boy will hurry further ahead to that place. After we have worshipped, will return to you.”	5 E disse a' suoi giovani: Aspettate qui coll'asino: io, e il fanciullo anderemo fin colà con prestezza, e fatta che avremo l'adorazione, torneremo da voi.
6 He also took the wood for the holocaust, and he imposed it upon his son Isaac. And he himself carried in his hands fire and a sword. And as the two continued on together,	6 Prese eziandio le legna per l'olocausto, e le pose addosso ad Isacco suo figliuolo: egli poi portava colle sue mani il fuoco, e il coltello. E mentre camminavano tutti e due insieme,
7 Isaac said to his father, “My father.” And he answered, “What do you want, son?” “Behold,” he said, “fire and wood. Where is the victim for the holocaust?”	7 Disse Isacco a suo padre: Padre mio. E quegli rispose: Che vuoi, figliuolo? Ecco; disse quegli, il fuoco, e le legna: dov'è la vittima dell'olocausto?
8 But Abraham said, “God himself will provide the victim for the holocaust, my son.” Thus they continued on together.	8 E Abramo disse: Iddio si provvederà la vittima per l'olocausto, figliuol mio. Andavano adunque innanzi di conserva:
9 And they came to the place that God had shown to him. There he built an altar, and he set the wood in order upon it. And when he had bound his son Isaac, he laid him on the altar upon the pile of wood.	9 E giunsero al luogo mostrato a lui da Dio, in cui egli edificò un altare, e sopra vi accomodò le legna: e avendo legato Isacco suo figlio, lo collocò sull'altare sopra il mucchio delle legna.
10 And he reached out his hand and took hold of the sword, in order to sacrifice his son.	10 E stese la mano, e diè di piglio al coltello per immolare il suo figliuolo.
11 And behold, an Angel of the Lord called out from heaven, saying, “Abraham, Abraham.” And he answered, “Here I am.”	11 Quand'ecco l'Angelo del Signore dal ciel gridò, dicendo: Abramo, Abramo. E quegli rispose: Eccomi.
12 And he said to him, “Do not extend your hand over the boy, and do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, since you have not spared your only begotten son for my sake.”	12 E quegli a lui disse: Non stendere la tua mano sopra il fanciullo, e non fare a lui male alcuno: adesso ho conosciuto, che tu temi Dio, e non hai perdonato al figliuol tuo unigenito per me.
13 Abraham lifted up his eyes, and he saw behind his back a ram among the thorns, caught by the horns, which he took and offered as a holocaust, instead of his son.	13 Alzò gli occhi Abramo, e vide dietro a sé un ariete preso per le corna tra' pruni, e se lo tolse, e in olocausto lo offerse in vece del figlio.
14 And he called the name of that place: ‘The Lord Sees.’ Thus, even to this day, it is said: ‘On the mountain, the Lord will see.’	14 E pose nome a quel luogo, il Signore vede. D'onde fino a quest'oggi si dice: Sul monte il Signore provvederà.
15 Then the Angel of the Lord called out to Abraham a second time from heaven, saying:	15 E l'Angelo del Signore per la seconda volta chiamò Abramo dal cielo, dicendo:
16 “By my own self, I have sworn, says the Lord. Because you have done this thing, and have not spared your only begotten son for my sake,	16 Per me medesimo io ho giurato, dice il Signore: perché hai fatta una tal cosa, e non hai perdonato al figlio tuo unigenito per me:
17 I will bless you, and I will multiply your offspring like the stars of heaven, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gates of their enemies.	17 Io ti benedirò, e moltiplicherò la tua stirpe, come le stelle del cielo, e come l'arena, che è sul lido del mare: il tuo seme s'impadronirà delle porte de' suoi nemici:
18 And in your offspring, all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you obeyed my voice.”	18 E nel seme tuo saran BENEDETTE tutte le nazioni della terra, perché hai obbedito alla mia voce.
19 Abraham returned to his servants, and they went to Beersheba together, and he lived there.	19 Tornò Abramo da' suoi servi, e se ne andarono insieme a Bersabee, e ivi egli abitò.
20 After these things occurred, it was reported to Abraham that Milcah, likewise, had borne sons for his brother Nahor:	20 Dopo che queste cose furono avvenute così, fu recata ad Abramo la novella, che Melcha avea ancor ella partoriti de' figliuoli a Nachor fratello di lui,
21 Uz, the firstborn, and Buz, his brother, and Kemuel, the father of the Syrians,	21 Hus primogenito, e Buz suo fratello, e Camuel padre de' Siri.
22 and Chesed, and Hazo, likewise Pildash, and Jidlaph,	22 E Cased, e Azau, e anche Pheldas, e Jedlaph,
23 as well as Bethuel, of whom was born Rebekah. These eight Milcah bore for Nahor, the brother of Abraham.	23 E Bathuel, da cui nacque Rebecca: questi otto figliuoli partorì Melcha a Nachor fratello d'Abramo.
24 In truth, his concubine, named Reumah, bore Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maacah.	24 E una sua concubina, chiamata Roma, partorì Tabee, e Gaham, e Tahas, e Maacha.
