1 Super flumina Babylonis, illic sedimus et flevimus, cum recordaremur Sion.	1 Praise the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 In salicibus in medio eius suspendimus citharas nostras.	2 Praise ye the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
3 Quia illic rogaverunt nos, qui captivos duxerunt nos, verba cantionum, et, qui affligebant nos, laetitiam: “ Cantate nobis de canticis Sion ”.	3 Praise ye the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
4 Quomodo cantabimus canticum Domini in terra aliena?	4 Who alone doth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
5 Si oblitus fuero tui, Ierusalem, oblivioni detur dextera mea;	5 Who made the heavens in understanding: for his mercy endureth for ever.
6 adhaereat lingua mea faucibus meis, si non meminero tui, si non praeposuero Ierusalem in capite laetitiae meae.	6 Who established the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
