1 A maskil of Asaph. I Why, God, have you cast us off forever? Why does your anger burn against the sheep of your pasture?	1 Pieśń pouczająca. Asafowy. Dlaczego, Boże, odrzuciłeś na wieki, płoniesz gniewem przeciw owcom Twojego pastwiska?
2 Remember your flock that you gathered of old, the tribe you redeemed as your very own. Remember Mount Zion where you dwell.	2 Pomnij na Twoją społeczność, którą dawno nabyłeś, na pokolenie, które wziąłeś w posiadanie, na górę Syjon, gdzie założyłeś sobie siedzibę.
3 Turn your steps toward the utter ruins, toward the sanctuary devastated by the enemy.	3 Skieruj Twe kroki ku ruinom bez końca: nieprzyjaciel wszystko spustoszył w świątyni.

8 They said in their hearts, "Destroy them all! Burn all the shrines of God in the land!"	8 Rzekli w swym sercu: Razem ich zniszczmy! Spalili w kraju wszystkie miejsca świętych zgromadzeń.
9 Now we see no signs, we have no prophets, no one who knows how long.	9 Już nie widać naszych znaków i nie ma proroka; a między nami nie ma, kto by wiedział, jak długo,
10 How long, O God, shall the enemy jeer? Shall the foe revile your name forever?	10 jak długo, Boże, będzie urągał nieprzyjaciel? Czy wróg na zawsze będzie bluźnił Twemu imieniu?

14 You crushed the heads of Leviathan, tossed him for food to the sharks.	14 Ty zmiażdżyłeś łby Lewiatana, wydałeś go na żer potworom morskim.
15 You opened up springs and torrents, brought dry land out of the primeval waters.	15 Ty otworzyłeś źródła i strumienie; Ty wysuszyłeś rzeki stale płynące.
16 Yours the day and yours the night; you set the moon and sun in place.	16 Twoim jest dzień i noc jest Twoja; Ty światło i słońce utwierdziłeś.
17 You fixed all the limits of the earth; summer and winter you made.	17 Ty ustanowiłeś wszystkie granice ziemi; Ty utworzyłeś lato i zimę.
18 Remember how the enemy has jeered, O LORD, how a foolish people has reviled your name.	18 Pamiętaj o tym: wróg Cię lży, Panie, a lud niemądry uwłacza Twojemu imieniu.
19 Do not surrender to beasts those who praise you; do not forget forever the life of your afflicted.	19 Nie wydawaj na zatracenie duszy Twej synogarlicy; o życiu Twych ubogich nie zapominaj na wieki!
20 Look to your covenant, for the land is filled with gloom; the pastures, with violence.	20 Wejrzyj na Twe przymierze, bo się napełniły zakątki kraju jękiem i przemocą.
21 Let not the oppressed turn back in shame; may the poor and needy praise your name.	21 Niechaj uciśniony nie wraca ze wstydem: niech ubogi i biedny chwalą Twoje imię!
22 Arise, God, defend your cause; remember the constant jeers of the fools.	22 Powstań, o Boże, prowadź swoją sprawę; pamiętaj o zniewadze, którą co dnia wyrządza Ci głupiec.
23 Do not ignore the clamor of your foes, the unceasing uproar of your enemies.	23 Nie zapomnij o krzyku Twoich przeciwników; zawsze się podnosi zgiełk powstających na Ciebie.
