Isaiah 52

1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.	1 Sorgi, sorgi, vestiti di tua fortezza, o Sionne: ammantati dei vestimenti di tua letizia, o Gerusalemme città del Santo; perocché non passerà mai più per mezzo a te l'incirconciso, e l'immondo.
2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.	2 Alzati dalla polvere, sorgi; ponti a sedere Gerusalemme: scuoti dal tuo collo il giogo, o schiava figlia di Sion;
3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.	3 Imperocché queste cose dice il Signore: Senza prezzo siete stati venduti, e senza denaro sarete ricomperati.
4 For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.	4 Imperocché queste cose dice il Signore Dio: In Egitto passò da principio il popolo mio per istarvi come forestiere: ed Assur lo maltrattò senza motivo.
5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.	5 E adesso, che debbo far io qui (dice il Signore), dappoiché senza prezzo è stato menato schiavo il popol mio? Color che lo dominano, si diportano iniquamente, dice il Signore, e di continuo, e tutto giorno è bestemmiato il mio nome.
6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.	6 Per questo il mio popolo conoscerà in quel giorno il nome mio; perocché io stesso, che parlava, ecco ch'io son presente.
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!	7 Quanto son belli i piedi di colui, il quale sui monti annunzia, e predica la pace! di colui, che annunzia ogni bene, di lui, che predica la salute, e dice a Sionne: Il Signore Dio tuo regnerà.
8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.	8 Voce delle tue sentinelle: alzeranno la voce, e insieme canteranno laude; perchè occhio ad occhio vedranno quando il Signore avrà a se ritornata Sionne.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.	9 Rallegratevi, e date laudi insieme, o deserti di Gerusalemme: perchè il Signore ha consolato il popol suo, ha riscattata Gerusalemme.
10 The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.	10 Il Signore ha rivelato il braccio suo santo agli occhi di tutte le genti: e tutte le estreme parti della terra vedranno la salute mandata dal nostro Dio.
11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.	11 Partitevi, partitevi, uscite di costà: non toccate nulla d'immondo: uscite di mezzo a Babilonia, purificatevi voi, che portate i vasi del Signore.
12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.	12 Imperocché voi non partirete tu multuosamente, né vi darete fretta come fuggiaschi, perchè il Signore anderà innanzi a voi, e vi adunerà il Dio d'Israele.
13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.	13 Ecco che il mio servo sarà intelligente, sarà esaltato, e ingrandito, e molto sublime.
14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:	14 Come tu fosti lo stupore di molti, cosi il tuo aspetto sarà senza gloria tragli uomini, e la tua faccia tra' figliuoli degli uomini,
15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.	15 Questi aspergerà molte genti, dinanzi a lui staranno i regi a bocca chiusa: perchè quegli, a' quali nulla fu detto di lui, il vedranno: e que', che non ne udiron parlare, lo contempleranno.
