JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Voici la descendance d'Esaü, qui est Edom.	1 These are the descendants of Esau, that is, Edom.
2 Esaü prit ses femmes parmi les filles de Canaan: Ada, la fille d'Elôn le Hittite, Oholibama, la filled'Ana, fils de Cibéôn le Horite,	2 Esau chose his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, Oholibamahdaughter of Anah, son of Zibeon the Horite,
3 Basmat, la fille d'Ismaël et la sœur de Nebayot.	3 Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.
4 Ada enfanta à Esaü Eliphaz, Basmat enfanta Réuel,	4 Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,
5 Oholibama enfanta Yéush, Yalam et Qorah. Tels sont les fils d'Esaü qui lui naquirent au pays deCanaan.	5 Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the sons of Esau born to him in Canaan.
6 Esaü prit ses femmes, ses fils et ses filles, toutes les personnes de sa maison, son bétail et toutes sesbêtes de somme, bref tout le bien qu'il avait acquis au pays de Canaan, et il partit pour le pays de Séïr, loin deson frère Jacob.	6 Esau took his wives, his sons and daughters, al the members of his household, his livestock, al hiscattle and al the goods he had acquired in Canaan and left for Seir, away from his brother Jacob.
7 En effet, ils avaient de trop grands biens pour habiter ensemble et le pays où ils séjournaient nepouvait pas leur suffire, en raison de leur avoir.	7 For they had acquired too much to live together. The land in which they were at that time could notsupport them both because of their livestock.
8 Ainsi Esaü s'établit dans la montagne de Séïr. Esaü c'est Edom.	8 That is why Edom settled in the mountainous region of Seir. Esau is Edom.
9 Voici la descendance d'Esaü, père d'Edom, dans la montagne de Séïr.	9 These are the descendants of Esau, ancestor of Edom, in the mountainous region of Seir.
10 Voici les noms des fils d'Esaü: Eliphaz, le fils d'Ada, femme d'Esaü, et Réuel, le fils de Basmat,femme d'Esaü.	10 These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz son of Esau's wife Adah, and Reuel son of Esau's wifeBasemath.
11 Les fils d'Eliphaz furent: Témân, Omar, Cepho, Gatam, Qenaz.	11 The sons of Eliphaz were: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz.
12 Eliphaz, fils d'Esaü, eut pour concubine Timna et elle lui enfanta Amaleq. Tels sont les fils d'Ada,la femme d'Esaü.	12 Eliphaz son of Esau had Timna for concubine and she bore him Amalek. These were the sons ofEsau's wife Adah.
13 Voici les fils de Réuel: Nahat, Zérah, Shamma, Mizza. Tels furent les fils de Basmat, la femmed'Esaü.	13 These were the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were the sons ofEsau's wife Basemath.
14 Voici les fils d'Oholibama, fille d'Ana, fils de Cibéôn, la femme d'Esaü: elle lui enfanta Yéush,Yalam et Qorah.	14 And these were the sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah, son of Zibeon: she bore himJeush, Jalam and Korah.
15 Voici les chefs des fils d'Esaü. Fils d'Eliphaz, premier-né d'Esaü: le chef Témân, le chef Omar, lechef Cepho, le chef Qenaz,	15 These are the chieftains of Esau. The descendants of Eliphaz, Esau's eldest son: the chieftains ofTeman, Omar, Zepho, Kenaz,
16 le chef Gatam, le chef Amaleq. Tels sont les chefs d'Eliphazau pays d'Edom, tels sont les filsd'Ada.	16 Gatam and Amalek. These are the chieftains of Eliphaz in Edom and are descended from Adah.
17 Et voici les fils de Réuel, le fils d'Esaü: le chef Nahat, lechef Zérah, le chef Shamma, le chefMizza. Tels sont les chefs de Réuel au pays d'Edom, tels sont les fils de Basmat, femme d'Esaü.	17 The descendants of Esau's son Reuel: the chieftains of Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.These are the chieftains of Reuel in Edom and are descended from Esau's wife Basemath.
18 Et voici les fils d'Oholibama, la femme d'Esaü: le chef Yéush, le chef Yalam, le chef Qorah. Telssont les chefs d'Oholibama, fille d'Ana, femme d'Esaü.	18 The descendants of Esau's wife Oholibamah: the chieftains of Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These arethe chieftains of Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
19 Tels sont les fils d'Esaü et tels sont leurs chefs. C'est Edom.	19 These were the sons of Esau -- that is, Edom -- and these are their chieftains.
20 Voici les fils de Séïr le Horite, les indigènes du pays: Lotân, Shobal, Cibéôn, Ana,	20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, natives of the country: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
21 Dishôn, Eçer, Dishân, tels sont les chefs des Horites, les fils de Séïr au pays d'Edom.	21 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan; these were the Horite chieftains descended from Seir, in Edom.
22 Les fils de Lotân furent Hori et Hémam, et la sœur de Lotân était Timna.	22 The sons of Lotan were Hori and Hemam, and Lotan's sister was Timna.
23 Voici les fils de Shobal: Alvân, Manahat, Ebal, Shepho, Onam.	23 These are the sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
24 Voici les fils de Cibéôn: Ayya, Ana -- c'est cet Ana qui trouva les eaux chaudes au désert enfaisant paître les ânesde son père Cibéôn.	24 These are the sons of Zibeon: Aiah, Anah -- the Anah who found the hot springs in the desert whilepasturing his father Zibeon's donkeys.
25 Voici les enfants d'Ana: Dishôn, Oholibama, fille d'Ana.	25 These are the children of Anah: Dishon, and Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
26 Voici les fils de Dishôn: Hemdân, Eshbân, Yitrân, Kerân.	26 These are the sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran and Cheran.
27 Voici les fils d'Eçer: Bilhân, Zaavân, Aqân.	27 These are the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan and Akan.
28 Voici les fils de Dishân: Uç et Arân.	28 These are the sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
29 Voici les chefs des Horites: le chef Lotân, le chef Shobal, lechef Cibéôn, le chef Ana,	29 These are the Horite chieftains: the chieftains of Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
30 le chef Dishôn, le chef Eçer, le chef Dishân. Tels sont les chefs des Horites, d'après leurs clans, aupays de Séïr.	30 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These are the chieftains of the Horites, by their clans, in Seir.
31 Voici les rois qui régnèrent au pays d'Edom avant que ne régnât un roi des Israélites.	31 These are the kings who reigned in Edom before an Israelite king.
32 En Edom régna Béla, fils de Béor, et sa ville s'appelait Dinhaba.	32 In Edom reigned Bela son of Beor; his city was cal ed Dinhabah.
33 Béla mourut et à sa place régna Yobab, fils de Zérah, deBoçra.	33 Bela died and Jobab son of Zerah, from Bozrah, succeeded.
34 Yobab mourut et à sa place régna Husham du pays des Témanites.	34 Jobab died and Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded.
35 Husham mourut et à sa place régna Hadad, fils de Bedad, qui battit les Madianites dans lacampagne de Moab, et sa ville s'appelait Avvit.	35 Husham died and Hadad son of Bedad succeeded; he defeated the Midianites in Moab, and his citywas called Avith.
36 Hadad mourut et à sa place régna Samla, de Masréqa.	36 Hadad died and Samlah of Masrekah succeeded.
37 Samla mourut et à sa place régna Shaûl, de Rehobot-ha-Nahar.	37 Samlah died and Shaul of Rehoboth-ha-Nahar succeeded.
38 Shaûl mourut et à sa place régna Baal-Hanân, fils d'Akbor.	38 Shaul died and Baal-Hanan son of Achbor succeeded.
39 Baal-Hanân, fils d'Akbor, mourut et à sa place régna Hadad; sa ville s'appelait Paü; sa femmes'appelait Mehétabéel, fille de Matred, de Mé-Zahab.	39 Baal-Hanan died and Hadad succeeded; his city was called Pau and his wife's name was Mehetabeldaughter of Matred, from Mezahab.
40 Voici les noms des chefs d'Esaü, selon leurs clans et leurs lieux, d'après leurs noms: le chefTimna, le chef Alva, le chef Yetèt,	40 These are the names of the chieftains of Esau -- according to their clans and localities: the chieftainsof Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
41 le chef Oholibama, le chef Ela, le chef Pinôn,	41 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
42 le chef Qenaz, le chef Témân, le chef Mibçar,	42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
43 le chef Magdiel, le chef Iram. Tels sont les chefs d'Edom, selon leurs résidences au pays qu'ilspossédaient. C'est Esaü, père d'Edom.	43 Magdiel and Iram. These are the chieftains of Edom, as settled in the territory which they own. Esauwas Edom's ancestor.
