Seconda lettera ai Corinzi - 2 Corinthians 6

1 Οντες δε συνεργοι αυτου, παρακαλουμεν ενταυτω να μη δεχθητε την χαριν του Θεου ματαιως?	1 As his fel ow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing.
2 διοτι λεγει? Εν καιρω δεκτω επηκουσα σου και εν ημερα σωτηριας σε εβοηθησα? ιδου, τωρα καιρος ευπροσδεκτος, ιδου, τωρα ημερα σωτηριας?	2 As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you';wel , now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.
3 μη διδοντες μηδεν προσκομμα κατ' ουδεν, δια να μη προσαφθη μωμος εις την διακονιαν,	3 We avoid putting obstacles in anyone's way, so that no blame may attach to our work of service;
4 αλλα εν παντι συνιστωντες εαυτους ως υπηρεται Θεου, εν υπομονη πολλη, εν θλιψεσιν, εν αναγκαις, εν στενοχωριαις,	4 but in everything we prove ourselves authentic servants of God; by resolute perseverance in times ofhardships, difficulties and distress;
5 εν ραβδισμοις, εν φυλακαις, εν ακαταστασιαις, εν κοποις, εν αγρυπνιαις, εν νηστειαις,	5 when we are flogged or sent to prison or mobbed; labouring, sleepless, starving;
6 εν καθαροτητι, εν γνωσει, εν μακροθυμια, εν χρηστοτητι, εν Πνευματι Αγιω, εν αγαπη ανυποκριτω,	6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness; in the Holy Spirit, in a love free of affectation;
7 εν λογω αληθειας, εν δυναμει Θεου, δια των οπλων της δικαιοσυνης των δεξιων και αριστερων,	7 in the word of truth and in the power of God; by using the weapons of uprightness for attack and fordefence:
8 δια δοξης και ατιμιας, δια δυσφημιας και ευφημιας, ως πλανοι ομως αληθεις,	8 in times of honour or disgrace, blame or praise; taken for impostors and yet we are genuine;
9 ως αγνοουμενοι αλλα καλως γνωριζομενοι, ως αποθνησκοντες αλλ ιδου, ζωμεν, ως παιδευομενοι αλλα μη θανατουμενοι,	9 unknown and yet we are acknowledged; dying, and yet here we are, alive; scourged but not executed;
10 ως λυπουμενοι παντοτε ομως χαιροντες, ως πτωχοι πολλους ομως πλουτιζοντες, ως μηδεν εχοντες και τα παντα κατεχοντες.	10 in pain yet always ful of joy; poor and yet making many people rich; having nothing, and yet owningeverything.
11 Το στομα ημων ηνοιχθη προς εσας, Κορινθιοι, η καρδια ημων επλατυνθη?	11 People of Corinth, we have spoken frankly and opened our heart to you.
12 δεν εχετε στενοχωριαν εν ημιν, αλλ' εχετε στενοχωριαν εν τοις σπλαγχνοις υμων?	12 Any distress you feel is not on our side; the distress is in your own selves.
13 την αυτην λοιπον αντιμισθιαν αποδιδοντες, ως προς τεκνα λαλω, πλατυνθητε και σεις.	13 In fair exchange -- I speak as though to children of mine -- you must open your hearts too.
14 Μη ομοζυγειτε με τους απιστους? διοτι τινα μετοχην εχει η δικαιοσυνη με την ανομιαν; τινα δε κοινωνιαν το φως προς το σκοτος;	14 Do not harness yourselves in an uneven team with unbelievers; how can uprightness and law-breaking be partners, or what can light and darkness have in common?
15 Τινα δε συμφωνιαν ο Χριστος με τον Βελιαλ; η τινα μεριδα ο πιστος με τον απιστον;	15 How can Christ come to an agreement with Beliar and what sharing can there be between a believerand an unbeliever?
16 Τινα δε συμβιβασιν ο ναος του Θεου με τα ειδωλα; διοτι σεις εισθε ναος Θεου ζωντος, καθως ειπεν ο Θεος οτι θελω κατοικει εν αυτοις και περιπατει, και θελω εισθαι Θεος αυτων, και αυτοι θελουσιν εισθαι λαος μου.	16 The temple of God cannot compromise with false gods, and that is what we are -- the temple of theliving God. We have God's word for it: I shall fix my home among them and live among them; I will be their Godand they wil be my people.
17 Δια τουτο. Εξελθετε εκ μεσου αυτων και αποχωρισθητε, λεγει Κυριος, και μη εγγισητε ακαθαρτον, και εγω θελω σας δεχθη,	17 Get away from them, purify yourselves, says the Lord. Do not touch anything unclean, and then I shallwelcome you.
18 και θελω εισθαι Πατηρ σας, και σεις θελετε εισθαι υιοι μου και θυγατερες, λεγει Κυριος παντοκρατωρ.	18 I shal be father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the almighty Lord.
