DOUAI-RHEIMSKING JAMES BIBLE
I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
The sun shall not burn thee by day: nor the moon by night.6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
May the Lord keep thy going in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
