Seconda lettera ai Corinzi 13

1 Ecco, questa è la terza volta ch’io vengo a voi; ogni parola è confermata per la bocca di due, o di tre testimoni.	1 Behold, this is the third time that I am coming to you. By the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall stand.
2 Già l’ho detto innanzi tratto, e lo dico ancora, come presente; anzi, essendo assente, ora scrivo a coloro che hanno innanzi peccato, e tutti gli altri: che se io vengo di nuovo, non risparmierò alcuno.	2 I have preached when present, and I will preach now while absent, to those who sinned before, and to all the others, because, when I arrive again, I will not be lenient with you.
3 Poichè voi cercate la prova di Cristo che parla in me, il quale inverso voi non è debole, ma è potente in voi.	3 Do you seek evidence that it is Christ who speaks in me, who is not weak with you, but is powerful with you?
4 Perciocchè, se egli è stato crocifisso per debolezza, pur vive egli per la potenza di Dio; perciocchè ancora noi siam deboli in lui, ma viveremo con lui, per la potenza di Dio, inverso voi.	4 For although he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. And yes, we are weak in him. But we shall live with him by the power of God among you.
5 Provate voi stessi, se siete nella fede; fate sperienza di voi stessi; non vi riconoscete voi stessi, che Gesù Cristo è in voi? se già non siete riprovati.	5 Test yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not know whether Christ Jesus is in you? But perhaps you are reprobates.
6 Ed io spero che voi riconoscerete che noi non siam riprovati	6 But I hope you know that we ourselves are not reprobates.
7 Or io prego Iddio che voi non facciate alcun male; non acciocchè noi appaiamo approvati, ma acciocchè voi facciate quel che è bene, e noi siamo come riprovati.	7 Now we pray to God that you shall do nothing evil, not so that we may seem to be approved, but so that you may do what is good, even if we seem like reprobates.
8 Perciocchè noi non possiam nulla contro alla verità, ma tutto ciò che possiamo è per la verità.	8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.
9 Poichè ci rallegriamo quando siam deboli, e voi siete forti; ma ben desideriamo ancora questo, cioè il vostro intiero ristoramento.	9 For we rejoice that we are weak, while you are strong. This is also what we pray for: your perfection.
10 Perciò, io scrivo queste cose, essendo assente; acciocchè, essendo presente, io non proceda rigidamente, secondo la podestà, la quale il Signore mi ha data, a edificazione, e non a distruzione	10 Therefore, I write these things while absent, so that, when present, I may not have to act more harshly, according to the authority which the Lord has given to me, for edification and not for destruction.
11 Nel rimanente, fratelli, rallegratevi, siate ristorati, siate consolati, abbiate un medesimo sentimento, e state in pace;	11 As to the rest, brothers, rejoice, be perfect, be encouraged, have the same mind, have peace. And so the God of peace and love will be with you.
12 e l’Iddio della carità, e della pace sarà con voi.	12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.
13 Salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio; tutti i santi vi salutano.	13 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the charity of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
14 La grazia del Signor Gesù Cristo, e la carità di Dio, e la comunione dello Spirito Santo, sia con tutti voi. Amen
