Ezechiele 28

DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La parola del Signore mi fu ancora indirizzata, dicendo:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 Figliuol d’uomo, di’ al principe di Tiro: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Perciocchè il tuo cuore si è innalzato, e tu hai detto: Io son Dio, io seggo nel seggio di Dio, nel cuor del mare, e pur tu sei uomo, e non Dio; ed hai fatto il cuor tuo simile al cuor di Dio;	2 'Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Because your heart has grownproud, you thought: I am a god; I am divinely enthroned far out to sea. Though you are human, not divine, youhave allowed yourself to think like God.
3 ecco, tu sei più savio che Daniele; niun segreto ti è nascosto;	3 So, you are wiser than Danel; no sage as wise as you!
4 tu hai acquistate gran facoltà per la tua sapienza, e per lo tuo intendimento; ed hai adunato oro ed argento ne’ tuoi tesori.	4 By your wisdom and your intel igence you have made yourself a fortune, you have put gold and silverinto your treasuries.
5 Per la grandezza della tua sapienza, con la tua mercatanzia, tu hai accresciute le tue facoltà; e il cuor tuo si è innalzato per le tue facoltà.	5 Such is your skill in trading, your fortune has continued to increase, and your fortune has made yourheart grow prouder.
6 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Perciocchè tu hai fatto il cuor tuo simile al cuor di Dio;	6 "And so, the Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have al owed yourself to think like God,
7 perciò, ecco, io fo venir sopra te degli stranieri, i più fieri d’infra le nazioni; ed essi sguaineranno le loro spade contro alla bellezza della tua sapienza, e contamineranno il tuo splendore;	7 very wel , I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most barbarous of the nations. They wil draw sword against your fine wisdom, they wil desecrate your splendour,
8 ti faranno scender nella fossa, e tu morrai delle morti degli uccisi, nel cuor del mare.	8 they will throw you down into the grave and you wil die a violent death far out to sea.
9 Dirai tu pure: Io son Dio, dinanzi a colui che ti ucciderà? ma tu sarai pur uomo, e non Dio, nella mano di colui che ti ferirà a morte.	9 Wil you stil think: I am a god, when your slaughterers confront you? But you will be human, not divine,in the clutches of the ones who strike you down!
10 Tu morrai delle morti degl’incirconcisi, per man di stranieri; perciocchè io ho parlato, dice il Signore Iddio	10 You wil die like the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners. "For I have spoken -- declares the LordYahweh." '
11 La parola del Signore mi fu ancora indirizzata, dicendo:	11 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
12 Figliuol d’uomo, prendi a far lamento sopra il re di Tiro, e digli: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Tu eri al sommo, pieno di sapienza e perfetto in bellezza.	12 'Son of man, raise a lament for the king of Tyre. Say to him, "The Lord Yahweh says this: You usedto be a model of perfection, ful of wisdom, perfect in beauty;
13 Tu eri in Eden, giardin di Dio; tu eri coperto di pietre preziose, di rubini, di topazi, di diamanti, di grisoliti, di pietre onichine, di diaspri, di zaffiri, di smeraldi, e di carbonchi, e di oro; l’arte de’ tuoi tamburi, e de’ tuoi flauti era appo te; quella fu ordinata nel giorno che tu fosti creato.	13 you were in Eden, in the garden of God. Al kinds of gem formed your mantle: sard, topaz, diamond,chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, garnet, emerald, and your ear-pendants and spangles were made of gold; alwas ready on the day you were created.
14 Tu eri un cherubino unto, protettore; ed io ti avea stabilito; tu eri nel monte santo di Dio, tu camminavi in mezzo alle pietre di fuoco.	14 I made you a living creature with outstretched wings, as guardian, you were on the holy mountain ofGod; you walked amid red-hot coals.
15 Tu sei stato compiuto nelle tue faccende, dal giorno che tu fosti creato, finchè si è trovata iniquità in te.	15 Your behaviour was exemplary from the day you were created until guilt first appeared in you,
16 Nella moltitudine del tuo traffico, il didentro di te è stato ripieno di violenza, e tu hai peccato; perciò, io altresì ti ho scacciato, come profano, dal monte di Dio; e ti ho distrutto, o cherubino protettore, di mezzo alle pietre di fuoco.	16 because your busy trading has fil ed you with violence and sin. I have thrown you down from themountain of God and destroyed you, guardian winged creature, amid the coals.
17 Il tuo cuore si è innalzato per la tua bellezza; tu hai corrotta la tua sapienza per lo tuo splendore; io ti ho gettato a terra, io ti ho esposto alla vista dei re, acciocchè ti riguardino.	17 Your heart has grown proud because of your beauty, your wisdom has been corrupted by yoursplendour. I have thrown you to the ground; I have made you a spectacle for kings.
18 Tu hai profanati i tuoi santuari, per la moltitudine della tua iniquità, nella dislealtà della tua mercatanzia; laonde io ho fatto uscir del mezzo di te un fuoco, il quale ti ha divorato; e ti ho ridotto in cenere sopra la terra, nel cospetto di tutti quei che ti veggono.	18 By the immense number of your crimes, by the dishonesty of your trading, you have defiled yoursanctuary. So I have brought fire out of you to devour you; I have reduced you to ashes on the ground before theeyes of al who saw you.
19 Tutti coloro, d’infra i popoli, che ti conoscono, sono stati attoniti di te; tu non sei più altro che spaventi; giammai in eterno tu non sarai più	19 Of the nations, al who know you are stunned at your fate. You are an object of terror; gone for ever."'
20 La parola del Signore mi fu ancora indirizzata, dicendo:	20 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
21 Figliuolo d’uomo, volgi la tua faccia verso Sidon, e profetizza contro ad essa,	21 'Son of man, turn towards Sidon and prophesy against her.
22 e di’: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Eccomi contro a te, Sidon, e sarò glorificato in mezzo di te; e si conoscerà che io sono il Signore, quando avrò eseguiti i miei giudicii contro ad essa, e sarò stato santificato in essa.	22 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Sidon, I will show my glory in you! They wilknow I am Yahweh, once I execute sentence on her and display my holiness in her.
23 E manderò in lei la pestilenza, e il sangue nelle sue strade; e gli uccisi caderanno in mezzo di essa, per la spada, che sarà sopra lei d’ogn’intorno; e si conoscerà che io sono il Signore.	23 For I shall send her the plague, and there wil be blood in her streets, and in her the dead wil falunder the sword raised against her from al sides, and they will know that I am Yahweh.
24 Ed essa non sarà più alla casa d’Israele uno stecco pungente, nè una spina dolorosa, più che tutti gli altri lor vicini, che li rubano; e si conoscerà che io sono il Signore Iddio.	24 "No more, for the House of Israel, shall any of the hostile nations surrounding them be a thorn thatwounds or a briar that tears; and they will know that I am Yahweh.
25 Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Quando io avrò raccolti que’ della casa d’Israele, d’infra i popoli fra i quali saranno stati dispersi io sarò santificato in loro nel cospetto delle genti, ed essi abiteranno nel lor paese, che io ho dato a Giacobbe, mio servo.	25 "The Lord Yahweh says this: When I gather the House of Israel back from the peoples where theyare dispersed, I shal display my glory in them for the nations to see. They wil live on the soil which I gave to myservant Jacob.
26 Ed abiteranno in esso in sicurtà, ed edificheranno case, e pianteranno vigne, ed abiteranno sicuramente, dopo che io avrò eseguiti i miei giudicii sopra tutti quelli che li hanno rubati d’ogn’intorno; e conosceranno che io sono il Signore Iddio loro	26 They will live there in confidence, build houses, plant vineyards. They wil live in safety, once I inflictpunishments on all the hostile nations surrounding them, and they will know that I am Yahweh their God." '
