| 2 Comanda ai figliuoli d'Israel, e di loro: quando voi entrerete nella terra Canaan, e averetela per possessione, terminaretela in questo modo. | 2 "Command the people of Israel, and say to them, When you enter the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan in its full extent), |
| 3 La parte del mezzo di incomincerà dalla solitudine di Sin, la quale si è presso ad Edom; e averae i termini di ricontro all'oriente del mare salsissimo; | 3 your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern boundary shall be from the end of the Salt Sea on the east; |
| 4 e conchiuderanno la parte australe per l'ascendere del scorpione, sì che passi in Senna e pervengane al mezzogiorno insino a Cadesbarne; é i confini verranno dalla villa che si chiama Ador, e torneranno insino ad Asemona. | 4 and your boundary shall turn south of the ascent of Akrabbim, and cross to Zin, and its end shall be south of Kadesh-barnea; then it shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon; |
| 5 E anderà per circuito d'Asemona insino al torrente d'Egitto, e alla ripa del mare grande finirà. | 5 and the boundary shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its termination shall be at the sea. |
| 6 La parte dell' occidente incomincerà dal mare grande, e in esso finirà, e serrarassi. | 6 "For the western boundary, you shall have the Great Sea and its coast; this shall be your western boundary. |
| 7 Dalla parte di settentrione i termini incominceranno dal mare grande, e perverranno insino al monte altissimo; | 7 "This shall be your northern boundary: from the Great Sea you shall mark out your line to Mount Hor; |
| 8 dal quale verranno in Emat insino al termine di Sedada; | 8 from Mount Hor you shall mark it out to the entrance of Hamath, and the end of the boundary shall be at Zeded; |
| 9 e li confini anderanno insino a Zefrona e alla villa Enan: questi saranno i termini dalla parte d'aquilone. | 9 then the boundary shall extend to Ziphron, and its end shall be at Hazar-enan; this shall be your northern boundary. |
| 10 E di là termineranno i confini dalla parte d'oriente, e dalla villa di Enan insino a Sefama. | 10 "You shall mark out your eastern boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham; |
| 11 E di Sefama discenderanno i termini in Rebla incontro al fonte di Dafnim; e indi verranno insino incontro all'oriente al mare di Ceneret; | 11 and the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the boundary shall go down, and reach to the shoulder of the sea of Chinnereth on the east; |
| 12 e anderanno insino al Giordano, e all'ultimo insino al mare salso, e ivi finirà. Questa è la terra che possederete con tutto il suo circuito. | 12 and the boundary shall go down to the Jordan, and its end shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its boundaries all round." |
| 13 Comandò Moisè ai figliuoli d'Israel, e disse loro: questa è la terra che voi possederete, partendola per sorti, perciò che comandò Iddio che fosse data a nove tribù e ad una mezza tribù. | 13 Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, "This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe; |
| 14 La tribù de' figliuoli di Ruben per tutte le sue famiglie, e la tribù de' figliuoli di Gad con tutto il suo numero delle sue cognazioni, e la mezza tribù di Manasse, | 14 for the tribe of the sons of Reuben by fathers' houses and the tribe of the sons of Gad by their fathers' houses have received their inheritance, and also the half-tribe of Manasseh; |
| 15 tolsero la loro parte di là dal Giordano, di rincontro a Gerico, dalla parte di oriente. | 15 the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise." |
| 16 E Iddio disse a Moisè: | 16 The LORD said to Moses, |
| 17 Questi sono i nomi di coloro che divideranno la terra: Eleazaro sacerdote, Iosuè figliuolo di Nun, | 17 "These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun. |
| 18 e tutti i principi, ciascuno secondo la sua tribù. | 18 You shall take one leader of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance. |
| 19 De' quali i nomi si chiamarono così: della tribù di Giuda, Caleb figliuolo di Iefone; | 19 These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. |
| 20 della tribù di Simeon, Samuel figliuolo di Ammiud; | 20 Of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. |
| 21 della tribù di Beniamin, Elidad figliuolo di Caselon; | 21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. |
| 22 della tribù de' figliuoli di Dan, Bocci figliuolo di Iogli; | 22 Of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli. |
| 23 de' figliuoli di Iosef, della tribù di Manasse, Anniel figliuolo di Efod; | 23 Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod. |
| 24 della tribù di Efraim, Camuel figliuolo di Seftan; | 24 And of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan. |
| 25 della tribù di Zabulon, Elisafan figliuolo di Farnac; | 25 Of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Eli-zaphan the son of Parnach. |
| 26 della tribù di Issacar, il duca Faltiel figliuolo di Ozan; | 26 Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan. |
| 27 della tribù di Aser, Aiud figliuolo di Salomi; | 27 And of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi. |

| 29 E questi sono coloro a cui comandò Iddio, che dividessero la terra di Canaan ai figliuoli d'Israel. | 29 These are the men whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan." |
