Salmi 72

1 (Vennero meno le laude ovver li inni di David figliuolo di Iesse,) salmo di Asaf. Come è buono l'Iddio d'Israel a' dritti di cuore!	1 A Psalm of Asaph. How good is God to Israel, to those who are upright in heart.
2 Ma a pena sono mossi li miei piedi; quas? sono sparti li miei sentieri.	2 But my feet were nearly moved; my steps had nearly slipped.
3 Per che feimi molesto sopra gl' iniqui, vedendo la pace de' peccatori.	3 For I was zealous over the iniquitous, seeing the peacefulness of sinners.
4 Però [che] non è rispetto alla loro morte, e firmamento in loro piaghe.	4 For they have no respect for their death, nor do they have support in their wounds.
5 Non sono nella fatica delli uomini; e con li uomini non saranno flagellati.	5 They are not with the hardships of men, nor will they be scourged with men.
6 Però halli tenuti la superbia; sono coperti colla iniquità ed empietà sua.	6 Therefore, arrogance has held on to them. They have been covered with their iniquity and impiety.
7 Loro iniquità apparse come da grassezza, andanti nel desiderio del cuore.	7 Their iniquity has proceeded, as if from fat. They have parted from the affection of the heart.
8 Pensorono la nequizia, e hanno parlato; hanno detta la iniquità contra l'eccelso.	8 They have thought and spoken wickedness. They have spoken iniquity in high places.
9 In cielo hanno posto la sua bocca; e loro lingua passata è in terra.	9 They have set their mouth against heaven, and their tongue has traversed the earth.
10 Però sarà convertito il mio popolo quivi; e in loro ritroveransi li giorni pieni.	10 Therefore, my people will be converted here, and fullness of days will be found in them.
11 E dissero come il sa Iddio? e s'egli è scienza nell' eccelso?	11 And they said, “How would God know?” and, “Isn’t there knowledge in high places?”
12 Ecco che li peccatori, e abbondanti nel mondo, hanno conseguito le ricchezze.	12 Behold, these are sinners, and, abounding in this age, they have obtained riches.
13 E dissi adunque senza cagione giustificai il cuore mio, e tra li innocenti lavai le mani mie;	13 And I said: So then, it is without purpose that I have justified my heart and washed my hands among the innocent.
14 e fui flagellato tutto il giorno, e la mia castigazione fu nel mattino.	14 And I have been scourged all day long, and I have received my chastisement in the mornings.
15 E se io dico: vi racconterò così; ecco che riprovai la nazione de' tuoi figliuoli.	15 If I were to say that I would explain this: Behold, I would condemn this nation of your sons.
16 E credeva di conoscere; questa fatica è dinanzi a me,	16 I considered, so that I might know this. It is a hardship before me,
17 insino ch' io entri nel santuario di Dio, e ch' io intenda nelle loro fini.	17 until I may enter into the Sanctuary of God, and understand it to its last part.
18 E però a loro ponesti per inganno; scancellastili mentre che si alzavano.	18 So, because of deceitfulness, truly, you have placed it before them. While they were being lifted up, you were casting them down.
19 Come sono fatti in desolazione, sùbito vennero meno; e' perirono per la sua iniquità.	19 How have they been brought to desolation? They have suddenly failed. They have perished because of their iniquity.
20 Il Signore riducerà a niente loro imagine nella sua città, come sogno di risveglianti.	20 As a dream is to those who awaken, O Lord, so will you reduce their image to nothing in your city.
21 Per che inflammato è il cuore mio, e commutate sono le mie reni;	21 For my heart has been inflamed, and my temperament has been changed.
22 e io son ridotto a niente, e nol seppi.	22 And so, I have been reduced to nothing, and I did not know it.
23 Come giumento appresso di te fatto sono; e io son sempre teco.	23 I have become like a beast of burden to you, and I am always with you.
24 Tenesti la mano mia destra; e ha'mi menato nella tua volontà, e con gloria ricevuto.	24 You have held my right hand. And in your will, you have conducted me, and with your glory, you have taken me up.
25 Certo che cosa è [a me] in cielo? e da te che ho vogliuto sopra la terra?	25 For what is there for me in heaven? And what do I wish for on earth before you?
26 Venuta è meno la mia carne e il mio cuore, sei Iddio del mio cuore, e mio padre, o Iddio, in eterno.	26 My body has failed, and my heart: O God of my heart, and God my portion, into eternity.
27 Per che ecco che chi s'allungano da te periranno; hai distrutto tutti quelli che fanno fornica'zione contra di te.	27 For behold, those who put themselves far from you will perish. You have perished all those who fornicate away from you.
28 Ma a me è buono accostarmi a Dio; ponerò la mia speranza nel Signore Iddio mio, acciò ch' io annunzii le tue predicazioni, nelle porte della figliuola di Sion.	28 But it is good for me to adhere to God, to put my hope in the Lord God, so that I may announce all your prophecies, at the gates of the daughter of Zion.
