Psalmi 97

NOVA VULGATA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Dominus regnavit! Exsultet terra, laetentur insulae multae.	1 The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice; let the many islands be glad.
2 Nubes et caligo in circuitu eius, iustitia et iudicium firmamentum sedis eius.	2 Cloud and darkness surround the Lord; justice and right are the foundation of his throne.
3 Ignis ante ipsum praecedet et inflammabit in circuitu inimicos eius.	3 Fire goes before him; everywhere it consumes the foes.
4 Illustrarunt fulgura eius orbem terrae: vidit et contremuit terra.	4 Lightning illumines the world; the earth sees and trembles.
5 Montes sicut cera fluxerunt a facie Domini, a facie Domini omnis terra.	5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.
6 Annuntiaverunt caeli iustitiam eius, et viderunt omnes populi gloriam eius.	6 The heavens proclaim God's justice; all peoples see his glory.
7 Confundantur omnes, qui adorant sculptilia, et qui gloriantur in simulacris suis. Adorate eum, omnes angeli eius.	7 All who serve idols are put to shame, who glory in worthless things; all gods bow down before you.
8 Audivit et laetata est Sion, et exsultaverunt filiae Iudae propter iudicia tua, Domine.	8 Zion hears and is glad, and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, O LORD.
9 Quoniam tu Dominus, Altissimus super omnem terram, nimis exaltatus es super omnes deos.	9 You, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth, exalted far above all gods.
10 Qui diligitis Dominum, odite malum; custodit ipse animas sanctorum suorum, de manu peccatoris liberabit eos.	10 The LORD loves those who hate evil, protects the lives of the faithful, rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Lux orta est iusto, et rectis corde laetitia.	11 Light dawns for the just; gladness, for the honest of heart.
12 Laetamini, iusti, in Domino et confitemini memoriae sanctitatis eius.	12 Rejoice in the LORD, you just, and praise his holy name.
