NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 A revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him so that he could tel his servants what is now to takeplace very soon; he sent his angel to make it known to his servant John,	1 Revelação de Jesus Cristo, que, para descobrir aos seus servos as coisas que em breve devem acontecer. Deus lhe fez. Ele (Jesus) a comunicou, por meio do seu anjo, ao seu servo João.
2 and John has borne witness to the Word of God and to the witness of Jesus Christ, everything that hesaw.	2 o qual atesta ser palavra de Deus e testemunho de Jesus Cristo tudo o que viu.
3 Blessed is anyone who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed those who hear them, if theytreasure the content, because the Time is near.	3 Bem-aventurado aquele que lê e aquele que ouve as palavras desta profecia, e observa as coisas que nela estão escritas, porque o tempo (da sua realização) está próximo.
4 John, to the seven churches of Asia: grace and peace to you from him who is, who was, and who is tocome, from the seven spirits who are before his throne,	4 João às sete Igrejas que há na Ásia; Graça a vós e paz, da parte daquele que é, que era e que vem, da parte dos sete espíritos que estão diante do seu trono,
5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the First-born from the dead, the highest of earthly kings. Heloves us and has washed away our sins with his blood,	5 e da parte de Jesus Cristo, que é a testemunha fiel, o primogênito (o primeiro que ressuscitou) dentre os mortos, o soberano dos reis da terra. A’quele que nos ama e nos livrou dos nossos pecados pelo seu sangue,
6 and made us a Kingdom of Priests to serve his God and Father; to him, then, be glory and power forever and ever. Amen.	6 e fez de nós um reino e sacerdotes para Deus e seu Pai, a ele, glória e poder pelos séculos dos séculos. Amen.
7 Look, he is coming on the clouds; everyone wil see him, even those who pierced him, and all the racesof the earth wil mourn over him. Indeed this shall be so. Amen.	7 Eis que ele vem sobre as nuvens, e todos os olhos o verão, (mesmo) aqueles que o trespassaram. E baterão em si próprias (de angústia), por causa dele, todas as tribos da terra. Sim. Amen.
8 'I am the Alpha and the Omega,' says the Lord God, who is, who was, and who is to come, theAlmighty.	8 Eu sou o Alfa e o Ômega, diz o Senhor Deus, aquele que é, que era e que vem, o Todo-poderoso.
9 I, John, your brother and partner in hardships, in the kingdom and in perseverance in Jesus, was on theisland of Patmos on account of the Word of God and of witness to Jesus;	9 Eu, João, vosso irmão e companheiro no sofrimento, na realeza e na paciência em Jesus, estive na ilha chamada Patmos, por causa da palavra de Deus e do testemunho de Jesus.
10 it was the Lord's Day and I was in ecstasy, and I heard a loud voice behind me, like the sound of atrumpet, saying,	10 Caí em êxtase, no dia do Senhor, e ouvi por detrás de mim uma grande voz, como de trombeta,
11 'Write down in a book al that you see, and send it to the seven churches of Ephesus, Smyrna,Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.'	11 que dizia: "O que vês, escreve-o num livro e envia-o às sete Igrejas: a Éfeso, a Smirna, a Pérgamo, a Tiatira, a Sardes, a Filadélfia e a Laodiceia."
12 I turned round to see who was speaking to me, and when I turned I saw seven golden lamp-stands	12 Voltei-me para ver a voz que falava comigo, e, voltando-me vi sete candeeiros de ouro,
13 and, in the middle of them, one like a Son of man, dressed in a long robe tied at the waist with a belt ofgold.	13 e, no meio dos candeeiros, alguém semelhante a um Filho de homem, vestido com uma longa túnica e cingido pelo peito com um cinto de ouro;
14 His head and his hair were white with the whiteness of wool, like snow, his eyes like a burning flame,	14 a sua cabeça e os seus cabelos eram brancos como lã branca, como neve; os seus olhos eram como uma chama de fogo;
15 his feet like burnished bronze when it has been refined in a furnace, and his voice like the sound of theocean.	15 os seus pés eram semelhantes ao bronze, incandescente numa fornalha; e a sua voz era como o ruído de muitas águas;
16 In his right hand he was holding seven stars, out of his mouth came a sharp sword, double-edged, andhis face was like the sun shining with all its force.	16 tinha na sua direita sete estrelas; saía da sua boca uma espada afiada, de dois gumes; e o seu rosto era como o sol quando está na sua força.
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead, but he laid his right hand on me and said, 'Do not beafraid; it is I, the First and the Last; I am the Living One,	17 Logo que o vi, caí diante de seus pés como morto. Porém ele pôs a sua mão direita sobre mim, dizendo: "Não temas; eu sou o primeiro e o último,
18 I was dead and look -- I am alive for ever and ever, and I hold the keys of death and of Hades.	18 e o que vive. Fui morto, mas eis que estou vivo, pelos séculos dos séculos, e tenho as chaves da morte e do inferno.
19 Now write down al that you see of present happenings and what is stil to come.	19 Escreve, pois, as coisas que viste, não só as que são, mas também as que hão-de suceder depois destas.
20 The secret of the seven stars you have seen in my right hand, and of the seven golden lamp-stands, isthis: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lamp-stands are the seven churchesthemselves.'	20 Eis o mistério das sete estrelas que viste na minha mão direita, e dos sete candeeiros de ouro: as sete estrelas são os anjos das sete Igrejas, e os sete candeeiros são as sete Igrejas."
