1 Ezután így szólt: »Vágj magadnak két ugyanolyan kőtáblát, mint az elsők voltak, hogy rájuk írhassam azokat az igéket, amelyek azokon a táblákon voltak, amelyeket összetörtél!	1 The LORD said to Moses, "Cut two tables of stone like the first; and I will write upon the tables the words that were on the first tables, which you broke.

3 Senki se jöjjön fel veled, és senkit se lehessen látni az egész hegyen, se marha, se juh ne legeljen arrafelé!«	3 No man shall come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let no flocks or herds feed before that mountain."
4 Vágott tehát két ugyanolyan kőtáblát, mint az előbbiek voltak, aztán felkelt az éjszakából, és fölment a Sínai hegyére, amint az Úr parancsolta neki. A két kőtáblát felvitte magával.	4 So Moses cut two tables of stone like the first; and he rose early in the morning and went up on Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand two tables of stone.
5 Amikor aztán az Úr leszállt a felhőben, Mózes odaállt mellé, és kiáltotta az Úr nevét.	5 And the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
6 Amíg az Úr elvonult előtte, azt mondta: »Uralkodó Úr, irgalmas és kegyes Isten, hosszan tűrő, nagy könyörületességű és hűségű,	6 The LORD passed before him, and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
7 te irgalmasságot gyakorolsz ezer nemzedéken át, megbocsátasz gonoszságot, vétket és bűnt. Előtted azonban semmi sem marad büntetlen, mert megtorlod az apák gonoszságát gyermekeiken, unokáikon, harmadik és negyedik nemzedékükön!«	7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation."
8 Ekkor Mózes sietve leborult a földre, meghajtotta magát,	8 And Moses made haste to bow his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
9 és így szólt: »Ha kegyelmet találtam színed előtt, Uram, kérlek, járj velünk! Bár keménynyakú ez a nép, bocsásd meg gonoszságainkat és bűneinket, és fogadj tulajdonoddá minket!«	9 And he said, "If now I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, let the Lord, I pray thee, go in the midst of us, although it is a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thy inheritance."

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.

Ne jelenj meg üres kézzel színem előtt.	20 The firstling of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb, or if you will not redeem it you shall break its neck. All the first-born of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
21 Hat napon dolgozzál, a hetedik napon pihentesd a szántást és az aratást!	21 "Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.
22 Tartsd meg a hetek ünnepét, amikor búzád zsengéjét aratják, és azt az ünnepet, amikor az esztendő végén mindenedet betakarítják!	22 And you shall observe the feast of weeks, the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.
23 Esztendőnként három ízben minden férfi jelenjék meg a mindenható Úrnak, Izrael Istenének színe előtt!	23 Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the LORD God, the God of Israel.
24 Amikor ugyanis elűzöm majd a nemzeteket előled, bár kiterjesztem határodat, senki sem fog földedre lecsapni, amikor te felmégy, hogy megjelenj az Úr, a te Istened színe előtt, esztendőnként háromszor.	24 For I will cast out nations before you, and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land, when you go up to appear before the LORD your God three times in the year.
25 Ne ontsd kovász mellett áldozatom vérét, és ne maradjon reggelre semmi sem a pászka ünnep áldozatából!	25 "You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left until the morning.
26 Földed termésének zsengéjét vidd fel az Úrnak, Istenednek házába! Ne főzz kecskegidát anyja tejében!«	26 The first of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring to the house of the LORD your God. You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk."
27 Az Úr végül azt mondta Mózesnek: »Írd fel magadnak ezeket az igéket, mert ezek alapján kötöttem szövetséget veled és Izraellel!«	27 And the LORD said to Moses, "Write these words; in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel."
28 Ő tehát ott volt az Úrnál, negyven nap és negyven éjen át. Kenyeret nem evett, vizet nem ivott, és felírta a táblákra a szövetség tíz igéjét.	28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
