1 E allora Moisè cantò, e li figliuoli d'Israel, questo cantico al Signore, e dissero: cantiamo al Signore, però che gloriosamente egli hae fatte le cose grandi; lo cavallo (d'Egitto) e lo suo ascensore gittò in mare.	1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
2 Lo Signore è stato la mia fortezza e la mia laude, e hammi fatto salvo. Questo è lo mio Iddio, e glorificato sia; questo Iddio del padre mio, e l'esalterò.	2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
3 Lo Signore quasi uomo combattitore; onni potente lo nome suo.	3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
4 Lo carro di Faraone e lo esercito suo gitto nel mare; e gli eletti principi suoi affogati sono nel mare rubro.	4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
5 Gli abissi coprirono loro; e disceseno nel profondo, come pietra.	5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.
6 La mano tua dritta, Signore, è magnificata; la tua mano dritta percosse lo inimico.	6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
7 E nella moltitudine della gloria tua deponesti li avversarii miei; mandasti l'ira tua, la quale divorò loro siccome paglia.	7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.
8 E nello spirito del furore tuo raunate sono l'acque, e istette l'onda scorrente; raunati sono gli abissi nel mezzo del mare.	8 And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.
9 E disse lo inimico: perseguiterò e piglierò, e dividerò le robbe che piglierò; riempierassi l'anima mia; isguainerò lo coltello mio, e ucciderà loro la mano mia.	9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
10 Soffiò lo spirito tuo, e coprì loro il mare; iti sono a fondo, quasi come piombo, nell'acque grandissime.	10 Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
11 Chi è simile a te nelle forze, Signore? Chi è simile a te, grandissimo nella santitade, ispaventevole e laudabile, e faciente le maravigliose cose?	11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
12 Tu estendesti la mano tua, e divorò [ loro ] la terra.	12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.
13 Duca fosti nella misericordia tua al popolo che tu ricomperasti; portasti loro, nella fortezza tua, all'abitacolo santo tuo.	13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
14 Salirono li popoli, e adirati sono; li dolori compresono li abitatori de' Filistei.	14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.
15 Allora conturbati sono li principi d'Edom; gli forti di Moab oppresse la paura; ispaventarono tutti li abitatori di Chanaan.	15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.
16 Cada sopra loro la paura e lo spavento nella grandezza del braccio tuo; facciansi immobili, quasi come pietre, tanto che passi il popolo tuo, Signore; tanto che passi questo popolo che tu hae posseduto.	16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.
17 Menerai loro dentro, e pianterai nel monte della eredità tua, con fermissimo abitacolo tuo, il quale tu hai preparato, o Signore; lo santuario tuo, Signore, il quale fermarono le mani tue.	17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.
18 Lo Signore regnerà in eterno e più oltre.	18 The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.
19 Venuto è certo a cavallo Faraone con carri suoi e cavalli nel mare; e ridusse sopra loro le acque del mare lo Signore; ma li figliuoli d'Israel andarono per lo secco nel mezzo del mare.	19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
20 Tolse adunque Maria profetessa, sorella di Aaron, lo timpano (cioè il tamburo) nella mano sua; e venute sono tutte le femine dopo lei colli timpani (cioè colli cimbali) e cori.	20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
21 Colli quali cantavano, dicendo: cantiamo al Signore, però che gloriosamente è in verità onorificato, e il cavallo (e il cavalcatore) e l'ascensore suo gittò nel mare.	21 And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
22 Menò adunque Moisè Israel del mare rosso; e venuti sono nel deserto di Sur, e andarono tre dì per la solitudine, e non trovarono acqua.	22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
23 E vennero in Mara, nè non poteano bevere l'acque di Mara, perciò ch' elle erano amare; donde al luogo ragunato nome pose, chiamando quello MARA, cioè amaritudine.	23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24 Mormorò il popolo contro Moisè, dicendo: che beveremo?	24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
25 Ma quelli chiamò al Signore; il quale mostrò a lui lo legno (il quale) quando lo mise nell'acqua, in dolcezza sono tornate l'acque; e quivi ordinò a lui li comandamenti e li giudicii, e quivi tentò lui lo Signore,	25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
26 dicendo: se tu udirai la voce del Signore Iddio tuo, e quello che diritto è innanzi a lui tu farai, e obbedirai li comandamenti suoi, e guarderai ogni comandamento suo, tutto lo languore che tu ponesti in Egitto non inducerò sopra te. Io certa mente sono Signore e sanatore tuo.	26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
27 E vennero li figliuoli d'Israel in Elim, dove erano dodici fonti d'acque e LXX palme; ed accamparonsi appresso l'acque.	27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
