2 ¡Gritad de gozo a Dios, nuestra fuerza, aclamad al Dios de Jacob!	2 Sing joyfully to God our strength; shout in triumph to the God of Jacob!
3 ¡Entonad la salmodia, tocad el tamboril, la melodiosa cítara y el arpa;	3 Take up a melody, sound the timbrel, the sweet-sounding harp and lyre.
4 tocad la trompeta al nuevo mes, a la luna llena, el día de nuestra fiesta!	4 Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our solemn feast.
5 Porque es una ley para Israel, una norma del Dios de Jacob;	5 For this is a law in Israel, an edict of the God of Jacob,
6 un dictamen que él impuso en José, cuando salió contra el país de Egipto. Una lengua desconocida se oye:	6 Who made it a decree for Joseph when he came out of the land of Egypt. II I hear a new oracle:
7 «Yo liberé sus hombros de la carga, sus manos la espuerta abandonaron;	7 "I relieved their shoulders of the burden; their hands put down the basket.
8 en la aflicción gritaste y te salvé. «Te respondí en el secreto del trueno, te probé junto a las aguas de Meribá. Pausa.	8 In distress you called and I rescued you; unseen, I spoke to you in thunder; At the waters of Meribah I tested you and said: Selah
9 Escucha, pueblo mío, yo te conjuro, ¡ah Israel, si quisieras escucharme!	9 'Listen, my people, I give you warning! If only you will obey me, Israel!
10 «No haya en ti dios extranjero, no te postres ante dios extraño;	10 There must be no foreign god among you; you must not worship an alien god.
11 yo, Yahveh, soy tu Dios, que te hice subir del país de Egipto; abre toda tu boca, y yo la llenaré.	11 I, the LORD, am your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open wide your mouth that I may fill it.'
12 «Pero mi pueblo no escuchó mi voz, Israel no me quiso obedecer;	12 But my people did not listen to my words; Israel did not obey me.
13 yo les abandoné a la dureza de su corazón, para que caminaran según sus designios.	13 So I gave them over to hardness of heart; they followed their own designs.
14 «¡Ah!, si mi pueblo me escuchara, si Israel mis caminos siguiera,	14 But even now if my people would listen, if Israel would walk in my paths,
15 al punto yo abatiría a sus enemigos, contra sus adversarios mi mano volvería.	15 In a moment I would subdue their foes, against their enemies unleash my hand.
16 «Los que odian a Yahveh le adularían, y su tiempo estaría para siempre fijado;	16 Those who hate the LORD would tremble, their doom sealed forever.
17 y a él lo sustentaría con la flor del trigo, lo saciaría con la miel de la peña».	17 But Israel I would feed with the finest wheat, satisfy them with honey from the rock."
