1 Rispose Baldad Suite, e disse:	1 Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and I said:
2 La signoria e la paura è appresso colui che fa la concordia nelle sue altissime cose.	2 Power and terror are with him, who maketh peace in his high places.
3 Or (non) è numero delli suoi cavalieri? E sopra lo quale non si rizza lo lume di colui?	3 Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?
4 Or (non si) puote essere giustificato l' uomo assomigliato a Dio, ovvero apparire mondo, nato della femina?	4 Can man be justified compared with God, or he that is born of a woman appear clean?
5 Ecco e già la luna non risplende, e le stelle non sono monde dinanzi da lui.	5 Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight.
6 Quanto e maggiormente l' uomo puzza, e lo figliuolo dell' uomo vermini?	6 How much less man that is rottenness and the son of man who is a worm?
