LA SACRA BIBBIA	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Allora Bildad il suchita prese la parola e disse:	1 But Baldad the Suhite responded by saying:
2 "Fino a quando andrai a caccia di parole? Rifletti e poi parleremo!	2 How long will you throw around words? Understand first, and then let us speak.
3 Perché siamo considerati come bestie e passiamo per degli idioti ai tuoi occhi?	3 Why have we been treated like mules, as if we were unworthy before you?
4 Tu che ti rodi nella tua rabbia, forse che a causa tua la terra sarà abbandonata, o che la roccia si staccherà dal suo posto?	4 You, who ruins your own soul in your fury, will the earth be forsaken because of you, and will the cliffs be moved from their place?
5 Sì, la luce del malvagio si spegne e la fiamma del suo focolare non brilla più.	5 Will not the light of the impious be put out, and the flame of his fire refuse to shine?
6 Si oscura la luce nella sua tenda e la lucerna si estingue sopra di lui.	6 Light will become darkness in his tabernacle, and the lamp that is over him will be extinguished.
7 I suoi passi vigorosi si accorciano, i suoi progetti lo fanno stramazzare.	7 His strong steps will be constrained, and his own counsel will cast him down uncontrollably.
8 Infatti, con i suoi piedi incappa nella rete e cammina sopra un tranello.	8 For he has caused his own feet to go into a net, and he has walked into its web.
9 Un laccio lo afferra per il tallone, un nodo lo stringe intorno.	9 His heel will be held in a snare, and thirst will rage against him.
10 Gli è nascosta per terra una fune e una trappola sul sentiero.	10 A trap has been hidden for him in the earth, and a decoy, along his path.
11 Da ogni parte lo atterriscono gli spaventi e gli si mettono alle calcagna.	11 Horrifying things will terrify him everywhere and will entangle his feet.
12 La sua ricchezza si muta in fame e la sfortuna gli si mette a fianco.	12 Let his strength be diminished by famine, and let starvation invade his ribs.
13 La sua pelle è corrosa dalla malattia; il primogenito della Morte gli consuma le membra.	13 Let it devour the beauty of his skin; let the ancient death consume his arms.
14 E' strappato dalla sua tenda dove si sentiva sicuro, per essere trascinato dal Re dei terrori.	14 Let his confidence be torn away from his tabernacle, and let ruin trample over him like a king.
15 Il fuoco è posto nella sua tenda; nella sua dimora si sparge lo zolfo.	15 Let the companions of he who is not, dwell in his tabernacle; let brimstone rain down upon his tabernacle.
16 In basso le sue radici si seccheranno; sopra saranno tagliati i suoi rami.	16 Let his roots be dried up from beneath him, and his harvest be crushed from above.
17 Il suo ricordo è sparito dalla terra e il suo nome non si udrà più nella contrada.	17 Let the memory of him perish from the earth, and let not his name be celebrated in the streets.
18 Lo cacceranno dalla luce alle tenebre e lo bandiranno dall'universo.	18 He will expel him from light into darkness, and he will remove him from the world.
19 Non avrà né figli né discendenza tra il suo popolo; non vi sarà superstite nella sua dimora.	19 Neither his offspring, nor his descendents, will exist among his people, nor will there be any remnants in his country.
20 Della sua fine stupirà l'Occidente e l'Oriente sarà preso dal brivido.	20 The last will be astonished at his day, and the first will be overcome with horror.
21 Ecco qual è la sorte dell'empio; tale è il destino di chi misconosce Dio".	21 And so, these are the tabernacles of the sinful, and this the place of he who does not know God.
