Titus 3

1 Admonish them to be subordinate to the rulers and authorities, to obey their dictates, to be prepared for every good work,	1 Rammenta loro, che siano soggetti ai principi, e alle potestà, che siano ubbidienti, che siano pronti ad ogni buona opera:
2 to speak evil of no one, not to be litigious, but to be reserved, displaying all meekness toward all men.	2 Che non dican male di alcuno, che non siano amanti delle liti, ma modesti, e che tutta la mansuetudine dimostrino l'uso di tutti gli uomini.
3 For, in times past, we ourselves were also unwise, unbelieving, erring, servants of various desires and pleasures, acting with malice and envy, being hateful and hating one another.	3 Imperocché eravamo una volta anche noi stolti, increduli, erranti, schiavi delle cupidità, e di varj piaceri, viventi nella malizia, e nell'invidia, degni d'odio, e odiando altrui.
4 But then the kindness and humanity of God our Savior appeared.	4 Ma allorché apparve la benignità, e l'amore del salvatore Dio nostro;
5 And he saved us, not by works of justice that we had done, but, in accord with his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and by the renovation of the Holy Spirit,	5 Non per le opere di giustizia fatte da noi, ma per sua misericordia ci fece; salvi mediante la lavanda di rigenerazione, e di rinnovellamento dello Spirito santo,
6 whom he has poured out upon us in abundance, through Jesus Christ our Savior,	6 Cui egli difuse in noi copiosamente per Gesù Cristo salvator nostro:
7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.	7 Affinchè giustificati per la grazia di lui siamo secondo la speranza eredi della vita eterna.
8 This is a faithful saying. And I want you to confirm these things, so that those who believe in God may take care to excel in good works. These things are good and useful to men.	8 Parola fedele è questa: e queste cose voglio, che siano da te stabilite: affinchè quelli, che credono a Dio, proccurino di star intenti alle buone opere. Questo è quello, che è buono, ed utile per gli uomini.
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, as well as arguments against the law. For these are useless and empty.	9 Ma le pazze questioni, e le genealogie, e le dispute, e le battaglie legali sfuggile, conciossiachè sono inutili, e vane.
10 Avoid a man who is a heretic, after the first and second correction,	10 L'uomo eretico dopo la prima, e la seconda correzione sfuggilo:
11 knowing that one who is like this has been subverted, and that he offends; for he has been condemned by his own judgment.	11 Sapendo, che questo tale è pervertito, e pecca, come quegli che per suo proprio giudizio è condannato.
12 When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, hurry to return to me at Nicopolis. For I have decided to winter there.	12 Quando avrò mandato da te Artema, o Tichico, affrettati a venir da me a Nicopoli: imperocché ivi ho determinato di passar il verno.
13 Send Zenas the lawyer and Apollo ahead with care, and let nothing be lacking to them.	13 Spedisci avanti sollecitamente Zena dottor di legge, e Apollo, (e fa' si) che nulla manchi ad essi.
14 But let our men also learn to excel in good works pertaining to the necessities of life, so that they may not be unfruitful.	14 E imparino anche i nostri a soprastare per le buone opere alle occorrenze, necessarie: affinchè non siano disutili.
15 All those who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. May the grace of God be with you all. Amen.	15 Ti salutano tutti quelli, che sono con me: saluta quelli, che ci amano nella fede. La grazia di Dio con tutti voi. Così sia.
