Ephesians 1

1 Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, to all the saints who are at Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.	1 Pablo, apóstol de Cristo Jesús por voluntad de Dios, a los santos y fieles en Cristo Jesús.
2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios, nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, in Christ,	3 Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos ha bendecido con toda clase de bendiciones espirituales, en los cielos, en Cristo;
4 just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy and immaculate in his sight, in charity.	4 por cuanto nos ha elegido en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para ser santos e inmaculados en su presencia, en el amor;
5 He has predestined us to adoption as sons, through Jesus Christ, in himself, according to the purpose of his will,	5 eligiéndonos de antemano para ser sus hijos adoptivos por medio de Jesucristo, según el beneplácito de su voluntad,
6 for the praise of the glory of his grace, with which he has gifted us in his beloved Son.	6 para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia con la que nos agració en el Amado.
7 In him, we have redemption through his blood: the remission of sins in accord with the riches of his grace,	7 En él tenemos por medio de su sangre la redención, el perdón de los delitos, según la riqueza de su gracia
8 which is superabundant in us, with all wisdom and prudence.	8 que ha prodigado sobre nosotros en toda sabiduría e inteligencia,
9 So does he make known to us the mystery of his will, which he has set forth in Christ, in a manner well-pleasing to him,	9 dándonos a conocer el Misterio de su voluntad según el benévolo designio que en él se propuso de antemano,
10 in the dispensation of the fullness of time, so as to renew in Christ everything that exists through him in heaven and on earth.	10 para realizarlo en la plenitud de los tiempos: hacer que todo tenga a Cristo por Cabeza, lo que está en los cielos y lo que está en la tierra.
11 In him, we too are called to our portion, having been predestined in accord with the plan of the One who accomplishes all things by the counsel of his will.	11 A él, por quien entramos en herencia, elegidos de antemano según el previo designio del que realiza todo conforme a la decisión de su voluntad,
12 So may we be, to the praise of his glory, we who have hoped beforehand in Christ.	12 para ser nosotros alabanza de su gloria, los que ya antes esperábamos en Cristo.
13 In him, you also, after you heard and believed the Word of truth, which is the Gospel of your salvation, were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the Promise.	13 En él también vosotros, tras haber oído la Palabra de la verdad, el Evangelio de vuestra salvación, y creído también en él, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo de la Promesa,
14 He is the pledge of our inheritance, unto the acquisition of redemption, to the praise of his glory.	14 que es prenda de nuestra herencia, para redención del Pueblo de su posesión, para alabanza de su gloria.
15 Because of this, and hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus, and of your love toward all the saints,	15 Por eso, también yo, al tener noticia de vuestra fe en el Señor Jesús y de vuestra caridad para con todos los santos,
16 I have not ceased giving thanks for you, calling you to mind in my prayers,	16 no ceso de dar gracias por vosotros recordándoos en mis oraciones,
17 so that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give a spirit of wisdom and of revelation to you, in knowledge of him.	17 para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de la gloria, os conceda espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación para conocerle perfectamente;
18 May the eyes of your heart be illuminated, so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and the wealth of the glory of his inheritance with the saints,	18 iluminando los ojos de vuestro corazón para que conozcáis cuál es la esperanza a que habéis sido llamados por él; cuál la riqueza de la gloria otorgada por él en herencia a los santos,
19 and the preeminent magnitude of his virtue toward us, toward we who believe in accord with the work of his powerful virtue,	19 y cuál la soberana grandeza de su poder para con nosotros, los creyentes, conforme a la eficacia de su fuerza poderosa,
20 which he wrought in Christ, raising him from the dead and establishing him at his right hand in the heavens,	20 que desplegó en Cristo, resucitándole de entre los muertos y sentándole a su diestra en los cielos,
21 above every principality and power and virtue and dominion, and above every name that is given, not only in this age, but even in the future age.	21 por encima de todo Principado, Potestad, Virtud, Dominación y de todo cuanto tiene nombre no sólo en este mundo sino también en el venidero.
22 And he has subjected all things under his feet, and he has made him the head over the entire Church,	22 Bajo sus pies sometió todas la cosas y le constituyó Cabeza suprema de la Iglesia,
23 which is his body and which is the fullness of him who accomplishes everything in everyone.	23 que es su Cuerpo, la Plenitud del que lo llena todo en todo.
