Leviticus 18

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Habló Yahveh a Moisés, diciendo:
2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: I am the Lord your God.	2 Habla a los israelitas, y diles: Yo soy Yahveh vuestro Dios.
3 You shall not act according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you have lived; nor shall you behave according to the habit of the region of Canaan, into which I will lead you; neither shall you walk in their ordinances.	3 No hagáis como se hace en la tierra de Egipto, donde habéis habitado, ni hagáis como se hace en la tierra de Canaán a donde os llevo; no debéis seguir sus costumbres.
4 You shall accomplish my judgments, and you shall observe my precepts, and you shall walk in them. I am the Lord your God.	4 Cumplid mis normas y guardad mis preceptos, caminando según ellos. Yo soy Yahveh, vuestro Dios.
5 Keep my laws and judgments; when a man does these, he shall live by them. I am the Lord.	5 Guardad mis preceptos y mis normas. El hombre que los cumpla, por ellos vivirá. Yo, Yahveh.
6 No man shall approach her who is a close blood-relative to him, so as to uncover her nakedness. I am the Lord.	6 Ninguno de vosotros se acerque a una consanguínea suya para descubrir su desnudez. Yo, Yahveh.
7 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.	7 No descubrirás la desnudez de tu padre ni la desnudez de tu madre. Es tu madre; no descubrirás su desnudez.
8 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your father.	8 No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu padre; es la misma desnudez de tu padre.
9 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, whether from father or from mother, whether she was born at home or abroad.	9 No descubrirás la desnudez de tu hermana, hija de tu padre o hija de tu madre, nacida en casa o fuera de ella.
10 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or your daughter’s daughter; for it is your own nakedness.	10 No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de tu hijo o de la hija de tu hija, pues es tu propia desnudez.
11 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, whom she bore to your father, and who is your sister.	11 No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre, engendrada de tu padre, que es tu hermana.
12 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s sister; for she is the flesh of your father.	12 No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu padre; es carne de tu padre.
13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, because she is the flesh of your mother.	13 No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu madre; es carne de tu madre.
14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, nor shall you approach his wife, who is joined to you by affinity.	14 No descubrirás la desnudez del hermano de tu padre; no te acercarás a su mujer; es la mujer de tu tío.
15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law, for she is your son’s wife; neither shall you expose her dishonor.	15 No descubrirás la desnudez de tu nuera, es la mujer de tu hijo; no descubrirás su desnudez.
16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your brother.	16 No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano; es la desnudez de tu hermano.
17 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your wife and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, so as to uncover her dishonor; for they are her flesh, and such sexual intercourse is incest.	17 No descubrirás la desnudez de una mujer y la de su hija, ni tomarás la hija de su hijo ni la hija de su hija para descubrir su desnudez; son tu propia carne; sería un incesto.
18 You shall not take your wife’s sister as a rival mistress; nor shall you uncover her nakedness, while your wife is still living.	18 No tomarás a una mujer juntamente con su hermana, haciéndola rival de ella y descubriendo su desnudez mientras viva la primera.
19 You shall not approach a woman who is undergoing menstruation, nor shall you uncover her foulness.	19 Tampoco te acercarás a una mujer durante la impureza menstrual, para descubrir su desnudez.
20 You shall not have sexual intercourse with your neighbor’s wife, nor shall you be defiled by the mingling of seed.	20 No te juntes carnalmente con la mujer de tu prójimo, contaminándote con ella.
21 You shall not give some of your seed to be consecrated to the idol Moloch, nor to pollute the name of your God. I am the Lord.	21 No darás ningún hijo tuyo para hacerlo pasar ante Mólek; no profanarás así el nombre de tu Dios. Yo, Yahveh.
22 You shall not commit sexual acts with a male, in place of sexual intercourse with a female, for this is an abomination.	22 No te acostarás con varón como con mujer; es abominación.
23 You shall not commit sexual acts with any animal, nor shall you be defiled by it. A woman shall not lie down with a beast, nor commit sexual acts with it; for this is wickedness.	23 No te unirás con bestia haciéndote impuro por ella. La mujer no se pondrá ante una bestia para unirse con ella; es una infamia.
24 Do not pollute yourselves with any of these things, by which all of the nations, which I will cast out in your sight, have been contaminated	24 No os hagáis impuros con ninguna de estas acciones, pues con ellas se han hecho impuras las naciones que yo voy a arrojar ante vosotros.
25 and by which the land has been polluted. I will visit the wickedness of the land, so that it may vomit out its inhabitants.	25 Se ha hecho impuro el país; por eso he castigado su iniquidad, y el país ha vomitado a sus habitantes.
26 Keep my ordinances and judgments, and do not do any of these abominations: the native born, as well as the settler, who sojourns among you.	26 Vosotros, pues, guardad mis preceptos y mis normas, y nos cometáis ninguna de estas abominaciones, ni los de vuestro pueblo ni los forasteros que residen entre vosotros.
27 For all these detestable things were done by the inhabitants of the land who were here before you, and they have polluted it.	27 Porque todas estas abominaciones han cometido los hombres que habitaron el país antes que vosotros, y por eso el país se ha llenado de impurezas.
28 Therefore, beware, lest in a similar manner, it may vomit you out as well, if you do these same things, just as it vomited out the people who were before you.	28 Y no os vomitará la tierra por vuestras impurezas, del mismo modo que vomitó a las naciones anteriores a vosotros;
29 Every soul who shall commit any of these abominations shall perish from the midst of his people.	29 sino que todos los que cometan una de estas abominaciones, ésos serán exterminados de en medio de su pueblo.
30 Keep my commandments. Do not be willing to do the things which have been done by those who were before you, and do not be polluted by these things. I am the Lord your God.	30 Guardad, pues, mis observancias; no practicaréis ninguna de las costumbres abominables que se practicaban antes de vosotros, ni os hagáis impuros con ellas. Yo, Yahveh, vuestro Dios.
