1 Unto the end. For her who pursues the inheritance. A Psalm of David.	1 Au maître de chant. Avec les flûtes. Psaume de David.
2 O Lord, listen closely to my words. Understand my outcry.	2 Seigneur, entends mes paroles et comprends ma plainte.
3 Attend to the voice of my prayer, my King and my God.	3 Écoute mon cri, ô mon roi et mon Dieu. C’est toi que je supplie,
4 For to you, I will pray. In the morning, Lord, you will hear my voice.	4 Seigneur, dès le matin tu entends ma voix, dès le matin j’offre mes vœux et j’attends.
5 In the morning, I will stand before you, and I will see. For you are not a God who wills iniquity.	5 Car toi, tu n’es pas Dieu pour aimer le mal, le méchant n’entrera pas chez toi.
6 And the malicious will not dwell close to you, nor will the unjust endure before your eyes.	6 Les arrogants ne tiennent pas devant tes yeux, tu détestes ceux qui font le mal
7 You hate all who work iniquity. You will destroy all who speak a lie. The bloody and deceitful man, the Lord will abominate.	7 et tu casses les reins aux diseurs de mensonge. Le violent et celui qui fraude, le Seigneur les déteste.
8 But I am in the multitude of your mercy. I will enter your house. I will show adoration toward your holy temple, in your fear.	8 Mais moi, par ta grande bonté, j’ai accès à ta Maison, face à ton saint Temple je me prosterne et j’adore.
9 Lord, lead me in your justice. Because of my enemies, direct my way in your sight.	9 Guide-moi, Seigneur, selon ta justice, tu vois que mes ennemis veillent, aplanis tes chemins devant moi.
10 For there is no truth in their mouth: their heart is vain.	10 Car rien n’est sûr de ce qu’ils disent et ils ne pensent qu’à nuire. Ils ont la flatterie dans la bouche, mais leur gosier est une tombe ouverte.
11 Their throat is an open sepulcher. They have acted deceitfully with their tongues. Judge them, O God. Let them fall by their own intentions: according to the multitude of their impiety, expel them. For they have provoked you, O Lord.	11 Condamne-les, mon Dieu, et que leurs projets échouent; chasse-les pour tous leurs crimes puisqu’ils se sont révoltés contre toi.
12 But let all those who hope in you rejoice. They will exult in eternity, and you will dwell in them. And all those who love your name will glory in you.	12 Quelle fête alors pour ceux qui s’abritent en toi, quelle joie sans fin pour ceux que tu protèges, quels cris de joie chez ceux qui aiment ton nom!
13 For you will bless the just. You have crowned us, O Lord, as if with a shield of your good will.	13 Car toi, Seigneur, tu bénis le juste, ta grâce l’enveloppe et le protège.
