1 And so they took the ark of God, and they set it in the midst of the tabernacle, which David had pitched for it. And they offered holocausts and peace offerings before God.	1 Portata adunque l'arca di Dio, la collocarono in mezzo al Tabernacolo che David aveva teso, e offersero olocausti e ostie pacifi che dinanzi a Dio.
2 And when David had completed offering holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.	2 Quando David ebbe finito di offrire gli olocausti e le ostie pacifiche, benedisse il popolo nel nome del Signore,
3 And he divided to every single one, from men even to women, a twist of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and fine wheat flour fried with oil.	3 e distribuì a ciascuno in particolare, tanto agli uomini che alle donne, una torta di pane, un pezzo di carne di bue arrostita e del fior di farina fritta coll'olio.
4 And he appointed some from the Levites who would minister before the ark of the Lord, and commemorate his works, and glorify and praise the Lord, the God of Israel.	4 E stabilì dei leviti dinanzi all'arca del Signore, a prestare servizio, a ricordare le sue opere, a glorificare e lodare il Signore Dio d'Israele.
5 Asaph was the leader, and second to him was Zechariah. In addition, there were Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom. And Jeiel was over the instruments of the psaltery and the harps. But Asaph sounded out with the cymbals.	5 Asaf era il primo, Zaccaria il secondo, venivan poi Iahiel, Semiramot, Iehiel, Matatia, Eliab, Banaia, Obededom: Iehiel per suonare i salteri e le lire; Asaf per suonare i cembali;
6 Truly, the priests, Benaiah and Jahaziel, were to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord.	6 Banaia e Iaziel sacerdoti per suonare in ogni tempo la tromba dinanzi all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore.
7 In that day, David made Asaph the leader, in order to confess to the Lord with his brothers:	7 In quel giorno David costituì Asaf primo cantore per cantare coi suoi fratelli le lodi del Si­gnore.
8 “Confess to the Lord, and invoke his name. Make known his endeavors among the peoples.	8 Lodate il Signore, invocate il suo nome, fate conoscere fra i popoli le sue opere.
9 Sing to him, and sing psalms to him, and describe all his miracles.	9 A lui cantate, a lui salmeggiate, e raccontate tutte le sue maraviglie.
10 Praise his holy name! Let the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoice!	10 Lodate il suo santo nome, si rallegri il cuore di coloro che cercano il Si­gnore:
11 Seek the Lord and his virtue. Seek his face always.	11 cercate il Signore e la sua forza, cercate sempre la sua faccia.
12 Remember his miracles, which he has accomplished, his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.	12 Ricordatevi delle maraviglie da lui fatte, dei suoi prodigi, dei giudizi della sua bocca,
13 O offspring of Israel, his servants! O sons of Jacob, his elect!	13 voi, o posterità d'Israele suo servo, o figli di Giacobbe suo eletto.
14 He is the Lord our God. His judgments are throughout all the earth.	14 Egli è il Signore nostro Dio; rende giustizia su tutta la terra,
15 Remember forever his covenant, the word that he instructed unto a thousand generations,	15 Ricordatevi in eterno del suo patto della parola che ha ordinato per mille generazioni,
16 the covenant that he formed with Abraham, and his oath with Isaac.	16 del suo patto con Abramo, del suo giuramento con Isacco.
17 And he appointed the same to Jacob as a precept, and to Israel as an everlasting pact,	17 Lo confermò a Giacobbe come legge, come patto eterno per Israele,
18 saying: ‘To you, I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.’	18 dicendo: « A te darò il paese di Canaan, come parte della vostra eredità ».
19 At that time, they were small in number, they were few and were settlers there.	19 Quando eran pochi di numero, un pugno e stranieri nel paese,
20 And they passed through, from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people.	20 e passavan di gente in gente e da un regno ad un altro popolo,
21 He did not permit anyone to falsely accuse them. Instead, he reproved kings on their behalf:	21 egli non permise a nessuno d'inquietarli, anzi a causa di loro punì dei re.
22 ‘Do not touch my Christ. And do not malign my prophets.’	22 « Non toccate i miei unti, non fate del male ai miei profeti ».
23 Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Announce his salvation, from day to day.	23 Voi di tutta la terra, cantate al Signore, annunziate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza,
24 Describe his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all the peoples.	24 raccontate fra le genti la sua gloria, le sue maraviglie fra tutti i popoli;
25 For the Lord is great and exceedingly praiseworthy. And he is terrible, above all gods.	25 sperchè il Signore è grande e degno d'infinita lode, più terribile di tutti gli dèi:
26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols. But the Lord made the heavens.	26 tutti gli dèi dei popoli non sono che idoli; ma il Signore ha fatto i cieli.
27 Confession and magnificence are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.	27 La gloria e la magnificenza gli stan davanti, la forza e la gioia sono ov'è lui.
28 Bring to the Lord, O families of the peoples, bring to the Lord glory and dominion.	28 Date al Si­gnore, o famiglie dei popoli, date al Signore gloria e potenza,
29 Give glory to the Lord, to his name. Lift up sacrifice, and approach before his sight. And adore the Lord in holy attire.	29 date al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo nome, portate un sacrifizio e venite al suo cospetto, adorate il Signore in santo decoro.
30 Let all the earth be moved before his face. For he founded the globe immoveable.	30 Tremi dinanzi alla sua faccia tutta la terra; perchè fu lui che diede stabili fondamenti all'universo.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult. And let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord has reigned.’	31 Giubilino i cieli ed esulti la terra, si dica fra le nazioni: « Regna il Signore! »
32 Let the sea roar, with all its plenitude. Let the fields exult, with all that is in them.	32 Rumoreggi il mare con tutto quel che contiene, esultino i campi con tutto quello che in essi si trova.
33 Then the trees of the forest will give praise before the Lord. For he comes to judge the earth.	33 Allora le piante della foresta canteranno lodi dinanzi al Signore, perchè è venuto a giudicare la terra.
34 Confess to the Lord, for he is good. For his mercy is eternal.	34 Date gloria al Signore, perchè egli è buono, perchè dura in eterno la sua misericordia.
35 And say: ‘Save us, O God our savior! And gather us together, and rescue us from the nations, so that we may confess to your holy name, and may exult in your songs.	35 E dite: « Salvaci, o Dio nostro salvatore, raccoglici e liberaci dalle nazioni, affinchè possiamo dar gloria al tuo santo nome ed esultare nei tuoi cantici ».
36 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from eternity to eternity.’ And let all the people say, ‘Amen,’ and let them sing a hymn to the Lord.”	36 Benedetto il Si­gnore Dio d'Israele d'eternità in eternità e tutto il popolo dica: « Amen » e l'inno al Signore.
37 And so, there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, he left Asaph and his brothers, so that they might minister in the sight of the ark continually, throughout each day, and in their turns.	37 Poi David lasciò lì, davanti all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, Asaf e i suoi fratelli, a prestar di continuo servizio dinanzi all'arca, ogni giorno, e ciascuno a suo turno;
38 Now Obededom and his brothers were sixty-eight. And he appointed Obededom, the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah to be porters.	38 Obededom e i suoi fratelli, in numero di sessantotto: Obededom, figlio d'iditun, e Hosa li fece portinai.
39 But Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, were before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gibeon,	39 Pose il sacerdote Sadoc e i suoi fratelli sacerdoti davanti al Tabernacolo del Si­gnore, sull'alto luogo che era in Gabaon,
40 so that they could offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that was written in the law of the Lord, which he instructed to Israel.	40 a offrire continuamente, mattina e sera, olocausti sopra l'altare degli olocausti, secondo tutto quello che sta scritto nella legge del Signore prescritta a Israele.
41 And after him, Heman, and Jeduthun, and the remainder of the elect, each one by his name, were appointed to confess to the Lord: “For his mercy endures forever.”	41 Dopo lui eran Heman, Iditun e gli altri scelti nominata mente a « lodare il Signore, perchè la sua misericordia è in eterno ».
42 Also Heman and Jeduthun sounded the trumpet, and they played upon the cymbals, and upon every kind of musical instrument, in order to sing praises to God. But the sons of Jeduthun he made to be porters.	42 Heman e Iditun suonavano la tromba e battevano i cembali, toccavano tutti gli strumenti musicali per cantare al Signore. I figli d'Iditun li fece portinai.
43 And all the people returned to their houses, and David also, so that he might bless his own house too.	43 Tutto il popolo se ne tornò a casa sua, e anche David, per benedire anche la sua casa.
