Ephesians 6

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.	1 Filhos, obedecei a vossos pais no Senhor, porque isto é justo.
2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)	2 Honra teu pai e tua mãe, que é o primeiro mandamento que tem promessa,
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.	3 a fim de que sejas feliz e tenhas larga vida sobre a terra (Dt. 5, 16).
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.	4 E vós, pais, não provoqueis à ira os vossos filhos (tratando-os com excessiva severidade), mas educai-os na disciplina e nas instruções do Senhor.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;	5 Servos, obedecei a vossos senhores segundo a carne, com temor e reverência, na sinceridade do vosso coração, como a Cristo,
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;	6 não os servindo só quando sob as suas vistas, como por agradar aos homens, mas como servos de Cristo, fazendo do bom coração a vontade de Deus,
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:	7 servindo-os com boa vontade, como se servísseis o Senhor e não os homens.
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.	8 sabendo que cada um receberá do Senhor a paga do bem que tiver feito, quer seja escravo quer livre.
9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.	9 E vós, senhores, fazei o mesmo com eles, pondo de parte as ameaças, sabendo que o Senhor, tanto deles como vosso, está nos céus, e que não faz acepção de pessoas.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.	10 De resto, irmãos, fortalecei-vos no Senhor, no seu poder soberano.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.	11 Revesti-vos da armadura de Deus, para que possais resistir às ciladas do demônio,
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.	12 porque nós não temos que lutar (somente) contra a carne e o sangue, mas sim contra os principados e potestades (do inferno), contra os dominadores deste mundo tenebroso, contra os espíritos malignos (espalhados) pelos ares.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.	13 Portanto, tomai a armadura de Deus, para que possais resistir no dia mau e ficar de pé depois de ter vencido tudo.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;	14 Estai, pois, firmes, tendo cingido os vossos rins com a verdade, vestindo a couraça da justiça,
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;	15 tendo os pés calçados de zelo para ir anunciar o Evangelho da paz;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.	16 sobretudo tomai o escudo da fé, com que possais apagar todos os dardos inflamados do (espírito) maligno;
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:	17 tomai também o elmo da salvação e a espada do espírito, que é a palavra de Deus.
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;	18 Fazei continuamente pelo Espírito toda a sorte de orações e de súplicas. Ocupai-vos nisto mesmo com toda a perseverança, rogando por todos os santos
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,	19 e por mim, para que me seja dado, quando abrir a boca, pregar com liberdade o mistério do Evangelho,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.	20 do qual eu, mesmo com as algemas, sou embaixador, e para que eu fale corajosamente dele, como devo.
21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:	21 Para que saibais também o estado das minhas coisas e o que eu faço, de tudo vos informará Tíquico, nosso irmão muito amado e ministro fiel no Senhor.
22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.	22 Eu vo-lo envio expressamente para que saibais o que é feito de nós e para que console os vossos corações.
23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	23 Paz aos irmãos, caridade e fé, da parte de Deus Pai e da do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.	24 A graça seja com todos os que amam a Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo de um modo inalterável.
