¹ Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.	¹ Alleluia. Loda il Signore, anima mia.
² While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.	² Loderò il Signore finché avrò vita, inneggerò al mio Dio per tutta la mia esistenza.
³ Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.	³ Non confidate nei potenti, in un figlio d'uomo che non dà salvezza.
⁴ His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.	⁴ Esala il suo spirito e ritorna alla terra: in quel giorno periscono i suoi disegni.
⁵ Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:	⁵ Beato colui che ha per aiuto il Dio di Giacobbe, che ha per speranza il Signore suo Dio!
⁶ Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:	⁶ Egli ha fatto cieli e terra, il mare e tutto ciò ch'esso contiene. Conserva la fedeltà per sempre.
⁷ Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:	⁷ Rende giustizia agli oppressi, dà il pane agli affamati; il Signore libera i prigionieri.
⁸ The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:	⁸ Il Signore ridona la vista ai ciechi, il Signore rialza quanti sono caduti, il Signore ama i giusti.
⁹ The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.	⁹ Il Signore custodisce gli stranieri, sostiene l'orfano e la vedova, mentre sconvolge la via degli empi.
¹⁰ The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.	¹⁰ Il Signore regnerà in eterno: il tuo Re, o Sion, di generazione in generazione.
