Livre de Zacharie 11

1 Ouvre tes portes, Liban, et que le feu dévore tes cèdres!	1 Open your gates, Lebanon, and let fire consume your cedars.
2 Gémis, genévrier, car le cèdre est tombé, car les majestueux sont ravagés. Gémissez, chênes deBashân, car elle est abattue la forêt inaccessible.	2 Howl, you fir tree, for the cedar has fallen, because the magnificent have been devastated. Howl, you oaks of Bashan, because the secure forest passage has been cut down.
3 On entend le gémissement des pasteurs car leur majesté est ravagée. On entend les rugissementsdes lionceaux car l'orgueil du Jourdain est ravagé.	3 The voice of the howling of the shepherds: for their magnificence has been devastated. The voice of the roaring of the lions: because the arrogance of the Jordan has been devastated.
4 Ainsi parle Yahvé mon Dieu: "Fais paître les brebis d'abattoir,	4 Thus says the Lord my God: Feed the flock of the slaughter,
5 celles que leurs acheteurs abattent sans être châtiés, dont leurs vendeurs disent: Béni soit Yahvé,me voilà riche, et que les pasteurs n'épargnent point.	5 which those who possessed them cut down, and they did not feel sorrow, and they sold them, saying: “Blessed be the Lord; we have become wealthy. Even their shepherds did not spare them.”
6 Car je n'épargnerai plus les habitants du pays - oracle de Yahvé! - Mais voici que moi, je vaislivrer les hommes chacun aux mains de son prochain, aux mains de son roi. Ils écraseront le pays et je ne lesdélivrerai pas de leurs mains."	6 And so, I will no longer spare the inhabitants upon the earth, says the Lord. Behold, I will deliver men, each one into the hand of his neighbor and into the hand of his king. And they will cut down the land, and I will not rescue it from their hand.
7 Alors je fis paître les brebis d'abattoir qui appartiennent aux marchands de brebis. Je pris pourmoi deux bâtons, j'appelai l'un Faveur et l'autre Liens et je fis paître les brebis.	7 And I will pasture the flock of the slaughter, because of this, O poor of the flock. And I took to myself two staffs: the one I called Handsome, and the other I called Rope, and I pastured the flock.
8 Je fis disparaître les trois pasteurs en un seul mois. Mais je perdis patience avec eux, et quant àeux, ils furent avares envers moi.	8 And I cut down three shepherds in one month. And my soul became contracted concerning them, just as their soul also varied concerning me.
9 Alors je dis: "Je ne vous ferai plus paître. Que celle qui doit mourir meure; que celle qui doitdisparaître disparaisse, et que celles qui restent s'entre-dévorent.	9 And I said: I will not pasture you. Whatever dies, let it die. And whatever is cut down, let it be cut down. And let the rest of them devour, each one the flesh of his neighbor.
10 Puis" je pris mon bâton Faveur et le mis en morceaux pour rompre mon alliance, celle quej'avais conclue avec tous les peuples.	10 And I took my staff, which was called Handsome, and I tore it apart, so as to invalidate my pact, which I had struck with all of the people.
11 Elle fut donc rompue en ce jour-là, et les marchands de brebis qui m'observaient surent quec'était là une parole de Yahvé.	11 And it became invalid in that day. And so they understood, just like the poor of the flock who stay close to me, that this is the word of the Lord.
12 Je leur dis alors: "Si cela vous semble bon, donnez-moi mon salaire, sinon n'en faites rien." Ilspesèrent mon salaire: 30 sicles d'argent.	12 And I said to them: If it is good in your eyes, bring me my wages. And if not, remain still. And they weighed for my wages thirty silver coins.
13 Yahvé me dit: "Jette-le au fondeur, ce prix splendide auquel ils m'ont apprécié!" Je pris donc les30 sicles d'argent et les jetai à la Maison de Yahvé, pour le fondeur.	13 And the Lord said to me: Cast it towards the statuary, the handsome price at which I have been valued by them. And I took the thirty silver coins, and I cast them into the house of the Lord, towards the statuary.
14 Puis je mis en morceaux mon deuxième bâton, pour rompre la fraternité entre Juda et Israël.	14 And I cut short my second staff, which was called Rope, so that I might dissolve the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
15 Yahvé me dit alors: "Prends encore l'équipement d'un pasteur insensé,	15 And the Lord said to me: Still they are to you the equipment of a foolish shepherd.
16 car voici que moi je vais susciter un pasteur dans le pays; celle qui a disparu, il n'en aura cure,celle qui chevrote, il ne la recherchera pas, celle qui est blessée, il ne la soignera pas, celle qui est enflée, il ne lasoutiendra pas, mais il dévorera la chair des bêtes grasses et arrachera même leurs sabots.	16 For behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit what is forsaken, nor seek what is scattered, nor heal what is broken, nor nourish what remains standing, and he will consume the flesh of the fatted ones and break their hoofs.
17 Malheur au pasteur inexistant qui délaisse son troupeau! Que l'épée s'attaque à son bras et à sonoeil droit! Que son bras soit tout desséché, que son oeil droit soit aveuglé!"	17 O shepherd and idol, abandoning the flock, with a sword upon his arm and over his right eye: his arm will be withered by drought, and his right eye will be obscured by darkness.
