1 Oracle sur l'Egypte. Voici que Yahvé, monté sur un nuage léger, vient en Egypte. Les faux dieuxd'Egypte chancellent devant lui et le coeur de l'Egypte défaille en elle.	1 Oracle on Egypt: See, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud on his way to Egypt; The idols of Egypt tremble before him, the hearts of the Egyptians melt within them.
2 J'exciterai l'Egypte contre l'Egypte, ils se battront, chacun contre son frère, chacun contre sonprochain, ville contre ville, royaume contre royaume.	2 I will rouse Egypt against Egypt: brother will war against brother, Neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kindgom.
3 L'esprit de l'Egypte s'évanouira en elle, et je confondrai son conseil. On consultera les faux dieux etles enchanteurs, les spectres et les devins.	3 The courage of the Egyptians ebbs away within them, and I will bring to nought their counsel; They shall consult idols and charmers, ghosts and spirits.

5 Les eaux disparaîtront de la mer, le fleuve tarira et se desséchera;	5 The waters shall be drained from the sea, the river shall shrivel and dry up;
6 les rivières deviendront infectes, les fleuves d'Egypte baisseront et tariront, le roseau et le joncnoirciront.	6 Its streams shall become foul, and the canals of Egypt shall dwindle and dry up. Reeds and rushes shall wither away,
7 Les herbes du Nil sur les bords du Nil, toute la verdure du Nil, sera desséchée, dispersée, anéantie.	7 and bulrushes on the bank of the Nile; All the sown land along the Nile shall dry up and blow away, and be no more.
8 Les pêcheurs gémiront, ce sera le deuil pour tous ceux qui lancent l'hameçon dans le Nil, ceux quijettent le filet sur les eaux seront désolés.	8 The fishermen shall mourn and lament, all who cast hook in the Nile; Those who spread their nets in the water shall pine away.
9 Ils seront déçus, ceux qui travaillent le lin cardé et ceux qui tissent des étoffes blanches;	9 The linen-workers shall be disappointed, the combers and weavers shall turn pale;
10 ses tisserands seront consternés, tous les salariés seront attristés.	10 The spinners shall be crushed, all the hired laborers shall be despondent.
11 Oui, insensés sont les princes de Coân, les plus sages conseillers du Pharaon forment un conseilstupide. Comment osez-vous dire à Pharaon: "Je suis fils des sages, fils des rois de jadis?"	11 Utter fools are the princes of Zoan! the wisest of Pharaoh's advisers give stupid counsel. How can you say to Pharaoh, "I am a disciple of wise men, of ancient kings"?
12 Où sont-ils donc, tes sages? Qu'ils t'annoncent et que l'on sache ce qu'a décidé Yahvé Sabaot contrel'Egypte!	12 Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you and make known What the LORD of hosts has planned against Egypt.
13 Ils déraisonnent, les princes de Coân, ils s'abusent, les princes de Noph, et l'élite de ses nomes a faitdivaguer l'Egypte.	13 The princes of Zoan have become fools, the princes of Memphis have been deceived. The chiefs of her tribes have led Egypt astray.

16 Ce jour-là, l'Egypte sera comme les femmes, tremblante et terrorisée devant la menace de la main deYahvé Sabaot, lorsqu'il la lèvera contre elle.	16 On that day the Egyptians shall be like women, trembling with fear, because of the LORD of hosts shaking his fist at them.
17 Le territoire de Juda deviendra la honte de l'Egypte: chaque fois qu'on le lui rappellera, elle seraterrorisée à cause du dessein que Yahvé Sabaot a formé contre elle.	17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror to the Egyptians. Every time they remember Judah, they shall stand in dread because of the plan which the LORD of hosts has in mind for them.
18 Ce jour-là, il y aura cinq villes au pays d'Egypte qui parleront la langue de Canaan et prêterontserment à Yahvé Sabaot; l'une d'elles sera dite "ville du soleil."	18 On that day there shall be five cities in the land of Egypt speaking the language of Canaan and swearing by the LORD of hosts; one shall be called "City of the Sun."
19 Ce jour-là, il y aura un autel dédié à Yahvé au milieu du pays d'Egypte, et près de la frontière unestèle dédiée à Yahvé.	19 On that day there shall be an altar to the LORD in the land of Egypt, and a sacred pillar to the LORD near the boundary.
20 Ce sera un signe et un témoin de Yahvé Sabaot au pays d'Egypte. Quand ils crieront vers Yahvé parcrainte des oppresseurs, il leur enverra un sauveur et un défenseur qui les délivrera.	20 It shall be a sign and a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt, when they cry out to the LORD against their oppressors, and he sends them a savior to defend and deliver them.
21 Yahvé se fera connaître des Egyptiens, et les Egyptiens connaîtront Yahvé, en ce jour-là. Ilsoffriront sacrifices et oblations, ils feront des voeux à Yahvé et les accompliront.	21 The LORD shall make himself known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day; they shall offer sacrifices and oblations, and fulfill the vows they make to the LORD.
22 Et si Yahvé frappe les Egyptiens, il frappera et guérira, ils se convertiront à Yahvé qui accueilleraleurs demandes et les guérira.	22 Although the LORD shall smite Egypt severely, he shall heal them; they shall turn to the LORD and he shall be won over and heal them.
23 Ce jour-là, il y aura un chemin allant d'Egypte à Assur. Assur viendra en Egypte et l'Egypte enAssur. L'Egypte servira avec Assur.	23 On that day there shall be a highway from Egypt to Assyria; the Assyrians shall enter Egypt, and the Egyptians enter Assyria, and Egypt shall serve Assyria.
24 Ce jour-là, Israël viendra en troisième avec l'Egypte et Assur, bénédiction au milieu de la terre,	24 On that day Israel shall be a third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the land,
25 bénédiction que prononcera Yahvé Sabaot: "Béni mon peuple l'Egypte, et Assur l'oeuvre de mesmains, et Israël mon héritage."	25 when the LORD of hosts blesses it: "Blessed be my people Egypt, and the work of my hands Assyria, and my inheritance, Israel."
