1 Les Israélites d'après leur nombre: Chefs de familles, officiers de milliers et de centaines etleurs scribes au service du roi, pour tout ce qui concernait les classes en activité pour un mois, tous les mois del'année. Chaque classe était de 24.000 hommes.	1 Now the sons of Israel, according to their number, the leaders of the families, the tribunes, and the centurions, and the chiefs, who were ministering to the king by their companies, entering and departing in each month of the year as they were in charge, were twenty-four thousand.
2 Le responsable de la première classe, affecté au premier mois, était Yashobéam, fils deZabdiel. Il était responsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	2 Jashobeam, the son of Zabdiel, was in charge of the first company in the first month; and under him were twenty-four thousand.
3 C'était l'un des fils de Pérèç, chef de tous les officiers du corps affecté au premier mois.	3 He was from the sons of Perez, and he was the leader of all the other leaders in the army, in the first month.
4 Le responsable de la classe du second mois était Dodaï l'Ahohite; il était responsable d'uneclasse de 24.000 hommes.	4 The company of the second month had Dodai, an Ahohite; and after him there was another, named Mikloth, who ruled over a portion of the army of the twenty-four thousand.
5 L'officier du troisième corps affecté au troisième mois était Benayahu, fils de Yehoyada, leprêtre en chef. Il était responsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	5 Also, the commander of the third company, in the third month, was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest; and in his division there were twenty-four thousand.
6 C'est ce Benayahu qui fut le héros des Trente, et eut la responsabilité des Trente et de saclasse. Il eut pour fils Ammizabad.	6 The same is the Benaiah who was strongest among the thirty, and was above the thirty. But his son, Ammizabad, was in charge of his company.
7 Le quatrième, affecté au quatrième mois, était Asahel, frère de Joab; son fils Zebadya luisuccéda. Il était responsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	7 The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel, the brother of Joab, and his son Zebadiah after him; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
8 Le cinquième, affecté au cinquième mois, était l'officier Shamehut, le Zarhite. Il étaitresponsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	8 The fifth leader, for the fifth month, was Shamhuth, an Izrahite; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
9 Le sixième, affecté au sixième mois, était Ira, fils d'Iqqesh, de Teqoa; il était responsabled'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	9 The sixth, for the sixth month, was Ira, the son of Ikkesh, a Tekoite; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
10 Le septième, affecté au septième mois, était Héleç, le Pelonite, l'un des fils d'Ephraïm; ilétait responsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	10 The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez, a Pelonite from the sons of Ephraim; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
11 Le huitième, affecté au huitième mois, était Sibbekaï, de Husha, un Zarhite; il étaitresponsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	11 The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai, a Hushathite from the stock of the Zerahites; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
12 Le neuvième, affecté au neuvième mois, était Abiézer d'Anatot, un Benjaminite; il étaitresponsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	12 The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer, an Anathothite from the sons of Benjamin; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
13 Le dixième, affecté au dixième mois, était Mahraï de Netopha, un Zarhite; il étaitresponsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	13 The tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai, and he was a Netophathite from the stock of the Zerahites; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
14 Le onzième, affecté au onzième mois, était Benaya, de Piréatôn, un fils d'Ephraïm; il étaitresponsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	14 The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah, a Pirathonite from the sons of Ephraim; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
15 Le douzième, affecté au douzième mois, était Heldaï, de Netopha, d'Otniel; il étaitresponsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.	15 The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai, a Netophathite from the stock of Othniel; and in his company there were twenty-four thousand.
16 Responsables des tribus d'Israël: Eliézer, fils de Zikri, commandait les Rubénites,Shephatyahu fils de Maaka les Siméonites,	16 Now those who were first over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Reubenites, Eliezer, the son of Zichri, was the ruler; over the Simeonites, Shephatiah, the son of Maacah, was the ruler;
17 Hashabya fils de Qemuel les lévites, Sadoq les Aaronides,	17 over the Levites, Hashabiah, the son of Kemuel; over the Aaronites, Zadok;
18 Elihu, l'un des frères de David, les Judéens, Omri fils de Mikaël les Issacharites,	18 over Judah, Elihu, the brother of David; over Issachar, Omri, the son of Michael;
19 Yishmayahu fils d'Obadyahu les Zabulonites, Yerimot fils d'Azriel les Nephtalites,	19 over the Zebulunites, Ishmaiah, the son of Obadiah; over the Naphtalites, Jeremoth, the son of Azriel;
20 Hoshéa fils d'Azazyahu les Ephraïmites, Yoël fils de Pedayahu la demi-tribu de Manassé,	20 over the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea, the son of Azaziah; over the one half tribe of Manasseh, Joel, the son of Pedaiah;
21 Yiddo fils de Zekaryahu la demi-tribu de Manassé en Galaad, Yaasiel fils d'Abner lesBenjaminites,	21 and over the one half tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo, the son of Zechariah; then over Benjamin, Jaasiel, the son of Abner;
22 Azaréel fils de Yeroham les Danites. Tels furent les officiers des tribus d'Israël.	22 yet truly, Azarel, the son of Jeroham, was over Dan. These were the leaders of the sons of Israel.
23 David ne fit pas le dénombrement de ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessous, parce queDieu avait dit qu'il multiplierait les Israélites comme les étoiles des cieux.	23 But David was not willing to number them from twenty years old and under. For the Lord had said that he would multiply Israel like the stars of heaven.
24 Joab, fils de Ceruya, commença à faire le compte, mais ne l'acheva pas. C'est pourquoi laColère éclata contre Israël, et le chiffre n'atteignit pas celui qu'on trouve dans les Annales du roi David.	24 Joab, the son of Zeruiah, had begun to number, but he did not finish. For because of this, wrath had fallen upon Israel. And therefore the number of those who had been counted was not related in the official records of king David.
25 Responsable des provisions du roi: Azmavèt, fils d'Adiel. Responsable des provisions dansles villes, bourgs et forteresses de la province: Yehonatân, fils de Uzziyyahu.	25 Now over the storerooms of the king was Azmaveth, the son of Adiel. But Jonathan, the son of Uzziah, was over those storerooms that were in the cities, and in the villages, and in the towers.
26 Responsable des ouvriers agricoles employés à la culture du sol: Ezri, fils de Kelub.	26 And over the farmlands and the farmers, those who worked the ground, was Ezri, the son of Chelub.
27 Responsable des vignobles: Shiméï, de Rama. Responsable de ceux qui, dans les vignobles,étaient affectés aux réserves de vin: Zabdi, de Shepham.	27 And over the cultivators of vineyards was Shimei, a Ramathite; then over the wine cellars was Zabdi, an Aphonite.
28 Responsable des oliviers et des sycomores dans le Bas-Pays: Baal-Hanân, de Géder.Responsable des réserves d'huile: Yoash.	28 Now over the olive groves and the fig groves, which were in the plains, was Baal-hanan, a Gederite; and over the oil cellars was Joash.
29 Responsable du gros bétail pâturant en Sarôn: Shitraï, de Sarôn. Responsable du gros bétaildans les vallées: Shaphat, fils de Adlaï.	29 Now over the herds that were pastured in Sharon, Shitrai, a Sharonite, was in the first place; and over the oxen in the valleys, there was Shaphat, the son of Adlai.
30 Responsable des chameaux: Obil, l'Ismaélite. Responsable des ânesses: Yèhdeyahu, deMéronot.	30 Truly, over the camels was Obil, an Ishmaelite; and over the donkeys was Jehdeiah, a Meronothite.
31 Responsable du petit bétail: Yaziz, le Hagrite. Tous ceux-là furent les responsables desbiens appartenant au roi David.	31 And over the sheep was Jaziz, a Hagarene. All these were leaders over the substance of king David.
32 Yehonatân, oncle de David, conseiller, homme avisé, et scribe, s'occupait des enfants du roiavec Yehiel, fils d'Hakmoni.	32 Now Jonathan, the uncle of David, was a counselor, a prudent and scholarly man; he and Jehiel, the son of Hachmoni, were with the sons of the king.
33 Ahitophel était conseiller du roi. Hushaï l'Arkite était ami du roi.	33 Now Ahithophel was the counselor of the king; and Hushai, the Archite, was the king’s friend.
34 Yehoyada, fils de Benayahu, et Ebyatar succédèrent à Ahitophel. Joab était le général desarmées du roi.	34 After Ahithophel was Jehoiada, the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. But the leader of the army of the king was Joab.
