DOUAI-RHEIMSKING JAMES BIBLE
Unto the end, for the hidden things of the Son. A psalm for David.1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
I will give praise to thee, O Lord, with my whole heart: I will relate all thy wonders.2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing to thy name, O thou most high.3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
When my enemy shall be turned back: they shall be weakened and perish before thy face.4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.
For thou hast maintained my judgment and my cause: thou hast sat on the throne, who judgest justice.5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
Thou hast rebuked the Gentiles, and the wicked one hath perished: thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
The swords of the enemy have failed unto the end: and their cities thou hast destroyed. Their memory hath perished with a noise.7 But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
but the Lord remaineth for ever. He hath prepared his throne in judgment:8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
and he shall judge the world in equity, he shall judge the people in justice.9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
And the Lord is become a refuge for the poor: a helper in due time in tribulation.10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
And let them trust in thee who know thy name: for thou hast not forsaken them that seek thee, O Lord.11 Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.
Sing ye to the Lord, who dwelleth in Sion: declare his ways among the Gentiles:12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.
For requiring their blood he hath remembered the: he hath not forgotten the cry of the poor.13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
Have mercy on me, O Lord: see my humiliation which I suffer from my enemies.14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death, that I may declare all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion.15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
I will rejoice in thy salvation: the Gentiles have stuck fast in the destruction which they have prepared. Their foot hath been taken in the very snare which they hid.16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
The Lord shall be known when he executeth judgments: the sinner hath been caught in the works of his own hands.17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
The wicked shall be turned into hell, all the nations that forget God.18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
For the poor man shall not be forgotten to the end: the patience of the poor shall not perish for ever.19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
Arise, O Lord, let not man be strengthened: let the Gentiles be judged in thy sight.20 Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
Appoint, O Lord, a lawgiver over them: that the Gentiles may know themselves to be but men.
