Psalms 20

DOUAI-RHEIMS	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Unto the end. A psalm for David.	1 Del maestro de coro. Salmo de David.
2 May the Lord hear thee in the day of tribulation: may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee.	2 El Señor te haga triunfar en el momento del peligro, que el nombre del Dios de Jacob sea tu baluarte.
3 May he send thee help from the sanctuary: and defend thee out of Sion.	3 Que él te auxilie desde su Santuario y te proteja desde Sión;
4 May he be mindful of all thy sacrifices: and may thy whole burnt offering be made fat.	4 que se acuerde de todas tus ofrendas y se encuentre aceptables tus holocaustos.
5 May he give thee according to thy own heart; and confirm all thy counsels.	5 Que satisfaga todos tus deseos y cumpla todos sus proyectos,
6 We will rejoice in thy salvation; and in the name of our God we shall be exalted.	6 para que aclamemos tu victoria y alcemos los estandartes en nombre de nuestro Dios. ¡Que el Señor te conceda todo lo que pides!
7 The Lord fulfil all thy petitions: now have I known that the Lord hath saved his anointed. He will hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is in powers.	7 Ahora sé que el Señor ha dado la victoria a su Ungido, lo ha hecho triunfar desde su santo cielo con las proezas de su mano salvadora.
8 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will call upon the name of the Lord our God.	8 Unos se fían de sus carros y otros de sus caballos, pero nuestra fuerza está en el nombre de nuestro Dios.
9 They are bound, and have fallen; but we are risen, and are set upright. O Lord, save the king: and hear us in the day that we shall call upon thee.	9 Ellos tropezaron y cayeron, mientras nosotros nos mantuvimos erguidos y confiados.
	10 ¡Señor, concede la victoria al rey, escúchanos cuando te invocamos!
