Job 10

DOUAI-RHEIMSLXX
My soul is weary of my life, I will let go my speech against myself, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.1 καμνων τη ψυχη μου στενων επαφησω επ' αυτον τα ρηματα μου λαλησω πικρια ψυχης μου συνεχομενος
I will say to God: Do not condemn me: tell me why thou judgest me so.2 και ερω προς κυριον μη με ασεβειν διδασκε και δια τι με ουτως εκρινας
Doth it seem good to thee that thou shouldst calumniate me, and oppress me, the work of thy own hands, and help the counsel of the wicked?3 η καλον σοι εαν αδικησω οτι απειπω εργα χειρων σου βουλη δε ασεβων προσεσχες
Hast thou eyes of flesh: or, shalt thou see as man seeth?4 η ωσπερ βροτος ορα καθορας η καθως ορα ανθρωπος βλεψη
Are thy days as the days of man, and are thy years as the times of men:5 η ο βιος σου ανθρωπινος εστιν η τα ετη σου ανδρος
That thou shouldst inquire after my iniquity, and search after my sin?6 οτι ανεζητησας την ανομιαν μου και τας αμαρτιας μου εξιχνιασας
And shouldst know that I have done no wicked thing, whereas there is no man that can deliver out of thy hand.7 οιδας γαρ οτι ουκ ησεβησα αλλα τις εστιν ο εκ των χειρων σου εξαιρουμενος
Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me wholly round about, and dost thou thus cast me down headlong on a sudden?8 αι χειρες σου επλασαν με και εποιησαν με μετα ταυτα μεταβαλων με επαισας
Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay, and thou wilt bring me into dust again.9 μνησθητι οτι πηλον με επλασας εις δε γην με παλιν αποστρεφεις
Hast thou not milked me as milk, and curdled me like cheese?10 η ουχ ωσπερ γαλα με ημελξας ετυρωσας δε με ισα τυρω
Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh: thou hast put me together with bones and sinews:11 δερμα και κρεας με ενεδυσας οστεοις δε και νευροις με ενειρας
Thou hast granted me life and mercy, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.12 ζωην δε και ελεος εθου παρ' εμοι η δε επισκοπη σου εφυλαξεν μου το πνευμα
Although thou conceal these things in thy heart, yet I know that thou rememberest all things.13 ταυτα εχων εν σεαυτω οιδα οτι παντα δυνασαι αδυνατει δε σοι ουθεν
If I have sinned and thou hast spared me for an hour: why dost thou not suffer me to be clean from my iniquity?14 εαν τε γαρ αμαρτω φυλασσεις με απο δε ανομιας ουκ αθωον με πεποιηκας
And if I be wicked, woe unto me: and if just, I shall not lift up my head, being filled with affliction and misery.15 εαν τε γαρ ασεβης ω οιμμοι εαν τε ω δικαιος ου δυναμαι ανακυψαι πληρης γαρ ατιμιας ειμι
And for pride thou wilt take me as a lioness, and returning thou tormentest me wonderfully.16 αγρευομαι γαρ ωσπερ λεων εις σφαγην παλιν δε μεταβαλων δεινως με ολεκεις
Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and multipliest thy wrath upon me, and pains war against me.17 επανακαινιζων επ' εμε την ετασιν μου οργη δε μεγαλη μοι εχρησω επηγαγες δε επ' εμε πειρατηρια
Why didst thou bring me forth out of the womb: O that I had been consumed that eye might not see me!18 ινα τι ουν εκ κοιλιας με εξηγαγες και ουκ απεθανον οφθαλμος δε με ουκ ειδεν
I should have been as if I had not been, carried from the womb to the grave.19 και ωσπερ ουκ ων εγενομην δια τι γαρ εκ γαστρος εις μνημα ουκ απηλλαγην
Shall not the fewness of my days be ended shortly? suffer me, therefore, that I may lament my sorrow a little:20 η ουκ ολιγος εστιν ο χρονος του βιου μου εασον με αναπαυσασθαι μικρον
Before I go, and return no more, to a land that is dark and covered with the mist of death:21 προ του με πορευθηναι οθεν ουκ αναστρεψω εις γην σκοτεινην και γνοφεραν
A land of misery and darkness, where the shadow of death, and no order, but everlasting horror dwelleth.22 εις γην σκοτους αιωνιου ου ουκ εστιν φεγγος ουδε οραν ζωην βροτων
