1 This is the book of the generation of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.	1 Voici le livret de la descendance d'Adam: Le jour où Dieu créa Adam, il le fit à la ressemblance deDieu.
2 He created them male and female; and blessed them: and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.	2 Homme et femme il les créa, il les bénit et leur donna le nom d'"Homme", le jour où ils furent créés.
3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son to his own image and likeness, and called his name Seth.	3 Quand Adam eut 130 ans, il engendra un fils à sa ressemblance, comme son image, et il lui donna lenom de Seth.
4 And the days of Adam, after he begot Seth, were eight hundred years: and he begot sons and daughters.	4 Le temps que vécut Adam après la naissance de Seth fut de 800 ans et il engendra des fils et desfilles.
5 And all the time that Adam lived came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.	5 Toute la durée de la vie d'Adam fut de 930 ans, puis il mourut.
6 Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos.	6 Quand Seth eut 10 5 ans, il engendra Enosh.
7 And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.	7 Après la naissance d'Enosh, Seth vécut 807 ans et il engendra des fils et des filles.
8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.	8 Toute la durée de la vie de Seth fut de 912 ans, puis il mourut.
9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.	9 Quand Enosh eut 90 ans, il engendra Qénân.
10 After whose birth he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.	10 Après la naissance de Qénân, Enosh vécut 815 ans et il engendra des fils et des filles.
11 And the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.	11 Toute la durée de la vie d'Enosh fut de 905 ans, puis il mourut.
12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Malaleel.	12 Quand Qénân eut 70 ans, il engendra Mahalaléel.
13 And Cainan lived after he begot Malaleel, eight hundred forty years, and begot sons and daughters.	13 Après la naissance de Mahalaléel, Qénân vécut 840 ans et il engendra des fils et des filles.
14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.	14 Toute la durée de la vie de Qénân fut de 910 ans, puis il mourut.
15 And Malaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.	15 Quand Mahalaléel eut 65 ans, il engendra Yéred.
16 And Malaleel lived after he begot Jared, eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.	16 Après la naissance de Yéred, Mahalaléel vécut 830 ans et il engendra des fils et des filles.
17 And all the days of Malaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.	17 Toute la durée de la vie de Mahalaléel fut de 895 ans, puis il mourut.
18 And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Henoch.	18 Quand Yéred eut 16 2 ans, il engendra Hénok.
19 And Jared lived after he begot Henoch, eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.	19 Après la naissance d'Hénok, Yéred vécut 800 ans et il engendra des fils et des filles.
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.	20 Toute la durée de la vie de Yéred fut de 962 ans, puis il mourut.
21 And Henoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Mathusala.	21 Quand Hénok eut 65 ans, il engendra Mathusalem.
22 And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.	22 Hénok marcha avec Dieu. Après la naissance de Mathusalem, Hénok vécut 300 ans et il engendrades fils et des filles.
23 And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.	23 Toute la durée de la vie d'Hénok fut de 365 ans.
24 And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him.	24 Hénok marcha avec Dieu, puis il disparut, car Dieu l'enleva.
25 And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.	25 Quand Mathusalem eut 187 ans, il engendra Lamek.
26 And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.	26 Après la naissance de Lamek, Mathusalem vécut 782 ans et il engendra des fils et des filles.
27 And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.	27 Toute la durée de la vie de Mathusalem fut de 969 ans, puis il mourut.
28 And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.	28 Quand Lamek eut 182 ans, il engendra un fils.
29 And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth which the Lord hath cursed.	29 Il lui donna le nom de Noé, car, dit-il, "celui-ci nous apportera, dans notre travail et le labeur denos mains, une consolation tirée du sol que Yahvé a maudit."
30 And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and he begot sons and daughters.	30 Après la naissance de Noé, Lamek vécut 595 ans et il engendra des fils et des filles.
31 And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died. And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth.	31 Toute la durée de la vie de Lamek fut de 777 ans, puis il mourut.
	32 Quand Noé eut atteint 500 ans, il engendra Sem, Cham et Japhet.
