EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Después vi en la mano derecha de aquel que estaba sentado en el trono un libro escrito por dentro y por fuera, y sellado con siete sellos.	1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne, a book written within and without, sealed with seven seals.
2 Y vi a un Angel poderoso que proclamaba en alta voz: «¿Quién es digno de abrir el libro y de romper sus sellos?».	2 And I saw a strong angel, proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 Pero nadie, ni en el cielo ni en la tierra ni debajo de ella, era capaz de abrir el libro ni de leerlo.	3 And no man was able, neither in heaven, nor on earth, nor under the earth, to open the book, nor to look on it.
4 Y yo me puse a llorar porque nadie era digno de abrir el libro ni de leerlo.	4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open the book, nor to see it.
5 Pero uno de los Ancianos me dijo: «No llores: ha triunfado el León de la tribu de Judá, el Retoño de David, y él abrirá el libro y sus siete sellos».	5 And one of the ancients said to me: Weep not; behold the lion of the tribe of Juda, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 Entonces vi un Cordero que parecía haber sido inmolado: estaba de pie entre el trono y los cuatro Seres Vivientes, en medio de los veinticuatro Ancianos. Tenía siete cuernos y siete ojos, que son los siete Espíritus de Dios enviados a toda la tierra.	6 And I saw: and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the ancients, a Lamb standing as it were slain, having seven horns and seven eyes: which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.
7 El Cordero vino y tomó el libro de la mano derecha de aquel que estaba sentado en el trono.	7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.
8 Cuando tomó el libro, los cuatro Seres Vivientes y los veinticuatro Ancianos se postraron ante el Cordero. Cada uno tenía un arpa, y copas de oro llenas de perfume, que son las oraciones de los Santos,	8 And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures, and the four and twenty ancients fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints:
9 y cantaban un canto nuevo, diciendo: «Tú eres digno de tomar el libro y de romper los sellos, porque has sido inmolado, y por medio de tu Sangre, has rescatado para Dios a hombres de todas las familias, lenguas, pueblos y naciones.	9 And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation.
10 Tú has hecho de ellos un Reino sacerdotal para nuestro Dios, y ellos reinarán sobre la tierra».	10 And hast made us to our God a kingdom and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.
11 Y después oí la voz de una multitud de Angeles que estaban alrededor del trono, de los Seres Vivientes y de los Ancianos. Su número se contaba por miles y millones,	11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne, and the living creatures, and the ancients; and the number of them was thousands of thousands,
12 y exclamaban con voz potente: «El Cordero que ha sido inmolado es digno de recibir el poder y la riqueza, la sabiduría, la fuerza y el honor, la gloria y la alabanza».	12 Saying with a loud voice: The Lamb that was slain is worthy to receive power, and divinity, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and benediction.
13 También oí que todas las criaturas que están en el cielo, sobre la tierra, debajo de ella y en el mar, y todo lo que hay en ellos, decían: «Al que está sentado sobre el trono y al Cordero, alabanza, honor, gloria y poder, por los siglos de los siglos».	13 And every creature, which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them: I heard all saying: To him that sitteth on the throne, and to the Lamb, benediction, and honour, and glory, and power, for ever and ever.
14 Los cuatro Seres Vivientes decían: «¡Amén!», y los Ancianos se postraron en actitud de adoración.	14 And the four living creatures said: Amen. And the four and twenty ancients fell down on their faces, and adored him that liveth for ever and ever.
