| 7 Les habitants d'Azot, voyant une telle plaie, s'entredirent: Que l'arche du Seigneur d'Israël ne demeure point parmi nous, parce que Sa main pèse sur nous et sur Dagon notre dieu. | 7 And when the men of Ashdod saw how things were, they said, "The ark of the God of Israel must not remain with us; for his hand is heavy upon us and upon Dagon our god." |
| 8 Et ayant envoyé chercher tous les princes des Philistins, ils leur dirent: Que ferons-nous de l'arche du Dieu d'Israël? For there was a deathly panic throughout the whole city. The hand of God was very heavy there; |
| 12 Car chaque ville était remplie de la frayeur de la mort, et la main de Dieu s'appesantissait lourdement.
