| 25 Il avait été instruit en ce qui regarde la voie du Seigneur; et fervent d'esprit, il parlait et il enseignait avec soin ce qui concernait Jésus; mais il ne connaissait que le baptême de Jean. | 25 He had been instructed in the Way of the Lord and, with ardent spirit, spoke and taught accurately about Jesus, although he knew only the baptism of John. |
| 26 Il commença donc à agir avec assurance dans la synagogue. Lorsque Priscille et Aquila l'eurent entendu, ils le prirent chez eux, et lui exposèrent plus exactement la voie du Seigneur. | 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the Way (of God) more accurately. |
| 27 Comme il voulait ensuite aller en Achaïe, les frères qui l'y avaient exhorté écrivirent aux disciples de le recevoir. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, il se rendit très utile aux croyants, | 27 And when he wanted to cross to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. After his arrival he gave great assistance to those who had come to believe through grace. |
