| 1 Après cela, Jésus Se manifesta de nouveau à Ses disciples, près de la mer de Tibériade. Il Se manifesta ainsi. | 1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself. |
| 2 Simon-Pierre, et Thomas, appelé Didyme, et Nathanaël, qui était de Cana en Galilée, et les fils de Zébédée, et deux autres de Ses disciples, étaient ensemble. | 2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. |
| 3 Simon-Pierre leur dit: Je vais pêcher. Ils lui dirent: Nous y allons aussi avec toi. Ils sortirent donc, et montèrent dans une barque; et cette nuit-là, ils ne prirent rien. | 3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. |
| 4 Le matin étant venu, Jésus parut sur le rivage; mais les disciples ne reconnurent pas que c'était Jésus. | 4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. |
| 5 Jésus leur dit donc: Enfants, n'avez-vous rien à manger? Ils Lui dirent: Non. | 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. |
| 6 Il leur dit: Jetez le filet à droite de la barque, et vous trouverez. Ils le jetèrent donc, et ils ne pouvaient plus le retirer, à cause de la multitude des poissons. | 6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. |
| 7 Alors le disciple que Jésus aimait dit à Pierre: C'est le Seigneur. Dès que Simon-Pierre eut entendu que c'était le Seigneur, il se ceignit de sa tunique, car il était nu, et il se jeta à la mer. | 7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. |
| 8 Les autres disciples vinrent avec la barque, car ils étaient peu éloignés de la terre (environ de deux cents coudées), tirant le filet plein de poissons. | 8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. |
| 9 Lorsqu'ils furent descendus à terre, ils virent des charbons allumés, et du poisson placé dessus, et du pain. | 9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. |
| 10 Jésus leur dit: Apportez quelques-uns des poissons que vous venez de prendre. | 10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. |
| 11 Simon-Pierre monta dans la barque, et tira à terre le filet, plein de cent cinquante trois gros poissons. Et quoiqu'il y en eût tant, le filet ne fut pas rompu. | 11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, and hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. |
| 12 Jésus leur dit: Venez, mangez. Et aucun de ceux qui prenaient part au repas n'osait Lui demander: Qui êtes-vous? car ils savaient que c'était le Seigneur. | 12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. |
| 13 Jésus vint, prit le pain, et le leur donna, ainsi que du poisson. | 13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. |
| 14 C'était la troisième fois que Jésus Se manifestait à Ses disciples, depuis qu'Il était ressuscité d'entre les morts. | 14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. |
| 15 Après qu'ils eurent mangé, Jésus dit à Simon-Pierre: Simon, fils de Jean, M'aimes-tu plus que ceux-ci? Il Lui répondit: Oui, Seigneur, Vous savez que je Vous aime. Jésus lui dit: Pais Mes agneaux. | 15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. |
| 16 Il lui dit de nouveau: Simon, fils de Jean, M'aimes-tu? Pierre lui répondit: Oui, Seigneur, Vous savez que je Vous aime. Jésus lui dit: Pais Mes agneaux. | 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. |
| 17 Il lui dit pour la troisième fois: Simon fils de Jean, M'aimes-tu? Pierre fut attristé de ce qu'Il lui avait dit pour la troisiéme fois: M'aimes-tu? et il Lui répondit: Seigneur, Vous savez toutes choses; Vous savez que je Vous aime. Jésus lui dit: Pais Mes brebis. | 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. |
| 18 En vérité, en vérité, Je te le dis, lorsque tu étais plus jeune, tu te ceignais toi-même, et tu allais où tu voulais; mais lorsque tu seras vieux, tu étendras tes mains, et un autre te ceindra et te conduira où tu ne voudras pas. | 18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. |
| 19 Or Il dit cela pour marquer par quelle mort il devait glorifier Dieu. Et, après avoir ainsi parlé, Il lui dit: Suis-Moi. | 19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. |
| 20 Pierre, s'étant retourné, vit venir derrière lui le disciple que Jésus aimait, et qui, pendant la cène, s'était reposé sur Son sein, et avait dit: Seigneur, quel est celui qui Vous trahira? | 20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? |
| 21 Pierre donc, l'ayant vu, dit à Jésus: Seigneur, celui-ci, que deviendra-t-il? | 21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? |
| 22 Jésus lui dit: Si Je veux qu'il demeure jusqu'à ce que Je vienne, que t'importe? Toi, suis-Moi. | 22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. |
| 23 Le bruit courut donc, parmi les frères, que ce disciple ne mourrait point. Cependant, Jésus n'avait pas dit: Il ne mourra point; mais: Si Je veux qu'il demeure jusqu'à ce que Je vienne, que t'importe? | 23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? |
| 24 C'est ce disciple qui rend témoignage de ces choses et qui les a écrites; et nous savons que son témoignage est véridique. | 24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. |
| 25 Il y a encore beaucoup d'autres choses que Jésus a faites; si on les écrivait une à une, je ne pense pas que le monde entier pût contenir les livres que l'on devrait écrire. | 25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. |
