| 3 Son visage était comme l'éclair, et son vêtement comme la neige. | 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: |
| 4 A cause de lui les gardes furent atterrés d'effroi, et devinrent comme morts. | 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. |
| 5 Mais l'Ange, prenant la parole, dit aux femmes: Ne craignez point, vous; car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus qui a été crucifié. | 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. |
| 6 Il n'est point ici; car Il est ressuscité, comme Il l'avait dit. Venez, et voyez le lieu où le Seigneur avait été mis. | 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. |
| 7 Et hâtez-vous d'aller dire à Ses disciples qu'Il est ressuscité, et voici qu'Il vous précède en Galilée; c'est là que vous Le verrez. Voici, je vous l'ai prédit. | 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. |
| 8 Elles sortirent aussitôt du sépulcre, avec crainte et avec une grande joie, et elles coururent porter la nouvelle à Ses disciples. | 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. |
| 9 Et voici que Jésus vint au-devant d'elles, en disant: Je vous salue.Elles s'approchèrent, et embrassèrent Ses pieds et L'adorèrent. | 9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. |
| 10 Alors Jésus leur dit: Ne craignez point; allez, dites à Mes frères de partir pour la Galilée; c'est là qu'ils Me verront. | 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. |
| 11 Lorsqu'elles furent parties, quelques-uns des gardes vinrent à la ville, et annoncèrent aux princes des prêtres tout ce qui s'était passé. | 11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. |
| 12 Ceux-ci s'étant assemblés avec les anciens, et ayant tenu conseil, donnèrent une forte somme d'argent aux soldats, | 12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, |
| 13 en leur disant: Dites: Ses disciples sont venus pendant la nuit, et ils L'ont enlevé tandis que nous dormions. | 13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. |
| 14 Et si le gouverneur l'apprend, nous le persuaderons, et nous vous mettrons à couvert. | 14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. |
| 15 Les soldats, ayant reçu l'argent, agirent d'après ces instructions; et ce bruit s'est répandu parmi les Juifs jusqu'à ce jour. | 15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. |
| 16 Or, les onze disciples s'en allèrent en Galilée, sur la montagne que Jésus leur avait indiquée. | 16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. |
| 17 Et Le voyant, ils L'adorèrent; cependant, quelques-uns eurent des doutes. | 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. |
| 18 Et Jésus, S'approchant, leur parla ainsi: Toute puissance M'a été donnée dans le Ciel et sur la terre. | 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. |
| 19 Allez donc, enseignez toutes les nations, les baptisant au nom du Père, et du Fils, et du Saint-Esprit, | 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: |
| 20 et leur enseignant à observer tout ce que Je vous ai commandé. Et voici que Je suis avec vous tous les jours, jusqu'à la consommation des siècles. | 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. |
