| 1 Car voici, en ces jours et en ce temps, lorsque J'aurai ramené les captifs de Juda et de Jérusalem, | 1 "For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, |
| 2 Je rassemblerai toutes les nations, et Je les conduirai dans la vallée de Josaphat, et là J'entrerai en jugement avec elles, au sujet d'Israël, Mon peuple et Mon héritage, qu'ils ont dispersé parmi les nations, et au sujet de Ma terre, qu'ils se sont partagée. | 2 I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat, and I will enter into judgment with them there, on account of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations, and have divided up my land, |
| 3 Ils ont tiré Mon peuple au sort, ils ont exposé le jeune garçon dans les lieux de prostitution, et ils ont vendu la jeune fille pour avoir du vin et pour boire. | 3 and have cast lots for my people, and have given a boy for a harlot, and have sold a girl for wine, and have drunk it. |
| 4 Mais qu'y a-t-il entre Moi et vous, Tyr et Sidon, et tout le territoire des Philistins? Voulez-vous tirer vengeance de Moi? Mais, si vous vous vengez de Moi, Je ferai soudain retomber vos actes sur votre tête. | 4 "What are you to me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the regions of Philistia? Are you paying me back for something? If you are paying me back, I will requite your deed upon your own head swiftly and speedily. |
| 5 Car vous avez enlevé Mon argent et Mon or, et vous avez emporté dans vos temples ce que J'avais de plus précieux et de plus beau. | 5 For you have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried my rich treasures into your temples. |
| 6 Vous avez vendu les fils de Juda et de Jérusalem aux fils des Grecs, pour les éloigner de leurs frontières. | 6 You have sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, removing them far from their own border. |
| 7 Voici, Je les ferai revenir du lieu où vous les avez vendus, et Je ferai retomber vos actes sur votre tête. | 7 But now I will stir them up from the place to which you have sold them, and I will requite your deed upon your own head. |
| 8 Je vendrai vos fils et vos filles entre les mains des enfants de Juda, et ils les vendront aux Sabéens, nation lointaine; c'est le Seigneur qui l'a dit. | 8 I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a nation far off; for the LORD has spoken." |
| 9 Criez cela parmi les nations, publiez la guerre sainte, réveillez les héros; qu'ils s'approchent, qu'ils montent, tous les hommes de guerre. | 9 Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare war, stir up the mighty men. Let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. |
| 10 Forgez des épées avec vos charrues, et des lances avec vos hoyaux. Que le faible dise: Je suis fort. | 10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, "I am a warrior." |
| 11 Elancez-vous et venez toutes, nations d'alentour, et rassemblez-vous; là le Seigneur fera périr tes héros. | 11 Hasten and come, all you nations round about, gather yourselves there. Bring down thy warriors, O LORD. |
| 12 Que les nations se lèvent et qu'elles montent dans la vallée de Josaphat; car là Je siégerai, pour juger toutes les nations d'alentour. | 12 Let the nations bestir themselves, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the nations round about. |
| 13 Lancez la faucille, car la moisson est mûre; venez, et descendez, car le pressoir est plein, les cuves regorgent, parce que leur malice est à son comble. | 13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Go in, tread, for the wine press is full. The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. |
| 14 Des peuples, des peuples dans la vallée du carnage, car le jour du Seigneur est proche dans la vallée du carnage. | 14 Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. |
| 15 Le soleil et la lune s'obscurciront, et les étoiles retireront leur éclat. | 15 The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining. |
| 16 Le Seigneur rugira de Sion, et de Jérusalem Il fera entendre Sa voix, et le ciel et la terre seront ébranlés; mais le Seigneur est l'espérance de Son peuple et la force des enfants d'Israël. | 16 And the LORD roars from Zion, and utters his voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth shake. But the LORD is a refuge to his people, a stronghold to the people of Israel. |
| 17 Et vous saurez que Je suis le Seigneur votre Dieu, habitant à Sion Ma montagne sainte; et Jérusalem sera sainte, et les étrangers ne passeront plus par elle. | 17 "So you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who dwell in Zion, my holy mountain. And Jerusalem shall be holy and strangers shall never again pass through it. |
| 18 En ce jour-là, les montagnes distilleront la douceur, les collines feront couler le lait, et les eaux couleront dans tous les ruisseaux de Juda; une source sortira de la maison du Seigneur, et arrosera le torrent des épines. | 18 "And in that day the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the stream beds of Judah shall flow with water; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the LORD and water the valley of Shittim. |
| 19 L'Egypte sera dévastée, et l'Idumée deviendra un désert affreux, parce qu'elle ont agi injustement envers les enfants de Juda, et qu'elles ont répandu dans leur pays le sang innocent. | 19 "Egypt shall become a desolation and Edom a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the people of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. |
| 20 La Judée sera habitée éternellement, et Jérusalem de génération en génération. | 20 But Judah shall be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem to all generations. |
| 21 Je purifierai alors leur sang que Je n'avais pas purifié; et le Seigneur habitera dans Sion. | 21 I will avenge their blood, and I will not clear the guilty, for the LORD dwells in Zion." |
