1 Après le sabbat, à l’aube du premier jour de la semaine, Marie de Magdala était allée visiter la tombe avec l’autre Marie.	1 Now on the morning of the Sabbath, when it began to grow light on the first Sabbath, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulcher.
2 Mais voici que la terre tremble. L’ange du Seigneur descend du ciel et s’approche, il fait rouler la pierre, puis il s’assied dessus.	2 And behold, a great earthquake occurred. For an Angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and as he approached, he rolled back the stone and sat down on it.
3 Son apparence est celle de l’éclair et son vêtement est blanc comme neige.	3 Now his appearance was like lightning, and his vestment was like snow.
4 Il provoque une telle frayeur parmi ceux qui montent la garde, qu’ils restent sous le choc et sont comme morts.	4 Then, out of fear of him, the guards were terrified, and they became like dead men.
5 Mais l’ange s’adresse aux femmes et leur dit: "Vous, ne craignez pas! Je sais que vous cherchez Jésus, le crucifié.	5 Then the Angel responded by saying to the women: “Do not be afraid. For I know that you are seeking Jesus, who was crucified.
6 Mais il n’est pas ici, il est ressuscité comme il l’avait dit. Approchez et voyez l’endroit où on l’avait déposé,	6 He is not here. For he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where the Lord was placed.
7 et puis, vite, allez dire à ses disciples qu’il s’est relevé d’entre les morts. Déjà il vous précède en Galilée, et là vous le verrez. C’est là tout mon message.”	7 And then, go quickly, and tell his disciples that he has risen. And behold, he will precede you to Galilee. There you shall see him. Lo, I have told you beforehand.”
8 Vite elles partirent de la tombe, partagées entre la joie immense et la frayeur, et elles coururent porter la nouvelle à ses disciples.	8 And they went out of the tomb quickly, with fear and in great joy, running to announce it to his disciples.
9 Jésus lui-même vint à leur rencontre et leur dit: "Jour de joie!” Elles s’approchèrent pour embrasser ses pieds et se prosternèrent devant lui.	9 And behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Hail.” But they drew near and took hold of his feet, and they adored him.
10 Alors Jésus leur dit: “Ne craignez pas. Allez dire à mes frères qu’ils partent en Galilée, là ils me verront.”	10 Then Jesus said to them: “Do not be afraid. Go, announce it to my brothers, so that they may go to Galilee. There they shall see me.”
11 Pendant qu’elles y vont, quelques-uns des gardes reviennent à la ville et racontent toute l’affaire aux chefs des prêtres.	11 And when they had departed, behold, some of the guards went into the city, and they reported to the leaders of the priests all that had happened.
12 Alors ils se réunissent avec les Anciens et décident de donner aux soldats une bonne somme d’argent	12 And gathering together with the elders, having taken counsel, they gave an abundant sum of money to the soldiers,
13 avec cette consigne: "Vous direz que ses disciples sont venus de nuit pendant que vous dormiez, et qu’ils ont fait disparaître son corps.	13 saying: “Say that his disciples arrived at night and stole him away, while we were sleeping.
14 Si le gouverneur apprend quelque chose, nous saurons lui parler de façon que vous n’ayez pas d’ennuis.”	14 And if the procurator hears about this, we will persuade him, and we will protect you.”
15 Les soldats prirent donc l’argent et firent comme on leur demandait: jusqu’à maintenant on raconte cette histoire chez les Juifs.	15 Then, having accepted the money, they did as they were instructed. And this word has been spread among the Jews, even to this day.
16 Les onze disciples allèrent en Galilée, à la montagne que Jésus leur avait indiquée.	16 Now the eleven disciples went on to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 En le voyant ils se prosternèrent, mais certains gardaient des doutes.	17 And, seeing him, they worshipped him, but certain ones doubted.
18 Alors Jésus s’approcha et leur dit: "Tout pouvoir m’a été donné au ciel et sur la terre.	18 And Jesus, drawing near, spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
19 Allez donc et faites-moi des disciples de toutes les nations. Vous les baptiserez au nom du Père et du Fils et de l’Esprit Saint,	19 Therefore, go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 et vous leur enseignerez, pour qu’ils l’observent, tout ce que je vous ai ordonné. Voici que je suis avec vous tous les jours jusqu’à la fin du temps.”	20 teaching them to observe all that I have ever commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, even to the consummation of the age.”
