BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Fa molte oblazioni chi osserva la legge.	1 One who keeps the Law multiplies offerings; one who fol ows the commandments offers communionsacrifices.
2 E' sacrifizio salutare osservare i comandamenti e allontanarsi da ogni iniquità.	2 Proof of gratitude is an offering of fine flour, almsgiving a sacrifice of praise.
3 E' offrir sacrifizio di propiziazione per le ingiustizie e pregare per il perdono dei peccati l'allontanarsi dall'ingiustizia.	3 To abandon wickedness is what pleases the Lord, to give up wrong-doing is an expiatory sacrifice.
4 Colui che offre fior di farina rende grazie, ma chi usa misericordia offre un sacrifizio.	4 Do not appear empty-handed in the Lord's presence; for all these things are due under thecommandment.
5 Quello che piace al Signore è lo star lontani dall'iniquità, ed è pregare per il perdono dei peccati allontanarsi dall'ingiustizia.	5 The offering of the upright graces the altar, and its savour rises before the Most High.
6 Non comparir davanti al Signore a mani vuote;	6 The sacrifice of the upright is acceptable, its memorial wil not be forgotten.
7 perché tutte queste cose si fanno per comandamento di Dio.	7 Honour the Lord with generosity, do not stint the first-fruits you bring.
8 L'oblazione del giusto impingua l'altare ed è di un odore soave davanti all'Altissimo.	8 Add a smiling face to al your gifts, and be cheerful as you dedicate your tithes.
9 Il sacrifizio del giusto è gradito e il Signore non se ne dimenticherà.	9 Give to the Most High as he has given to you, as generously as your means can afford;
10 Di buon cuore rendi gloria a Dio, e non toglier nulla dalle primizie delle tue fatiche.	10 for the Lord is a good rewarder, he wil reward you seven times over.
11 Tutto quello che dài, dallo con ilare volto e consacra con allegrezza le tue decime.	11 Do not try to bribe him with presents, he wil not accept them, do not put your faith in wronglymotivated sacrifices;
12 Dona all'Altissimo in proporzione a quanto t'ha donato e con occhio lieto offri secondo le tue facoltà,	12 for the Lord is a judge who is utterly impartial.
13 perché il Signore è rimuneratore e te ne renderà il settuplo.	13 He never shows partiality to the detriment of the poor, he listens to the plea of the injured party.
14 Non offrir doni perversi, perchè non li accetterà.	14 He does not ignore the orphan's supplication, nor the widow's as she pours out her complaint.
15 E non fare assegnamento sopra un sacrifizio ingiusto, perchè il Signore è giudice, e davanti a lui non esiste grandezza di persone.	15 Do the widow's tears not run down her cheeks, as she accuses the man who is the cause of them?
16 Il Signore non fa accettazione di persone in danno del povero, ed esaudisce la preghiera dell'offeso.	16 Whoever wholeheartedly serves God will be accepted, his petitions wil carry to the clouds.
17 Non disprezza la supplica dell'orfano, nè la vedova che espone a lungo i gemiti.	17 The prayer of the humble pierces the clouds: and until it does, he is not to be consoled,
18 Le lacrime della vedova, che scorron giù per le gote non son forse grida contro chi le fa scorrere?	18 nor wil he desist until the Most High takes notice of him, acquits the upright and delivers judgement.
19 Dalle guance salgono fino al cielo, e il Signore che esaudisce non ne avrà piacere.	19 And the Lord will not be slow, nor wil he be dilatory on their behalf,
20 Chi adora Dio nel modo gradito sarà aiutato, e la sua preghiera arriverà fino alle nubi.	20 until he has crushed the loins of the merciless and exacted vengeance on the nations,
21 La preghiera di chi si umilia penetrerà le nubi, e non si darà posa finché non giunga (a Dio) e non partirà finché l'Altissimo non l'ha riguardata.	21 until he has eliminated the hordes of the arrogant and broken the sceptres of the wicked,
22 E il Signore non si farà aspettare, ma giu dicherà in favore dei giusti e fa rà giustizia, il Fortissimo non avrà più pazienza con essi, ma fiaccherà loro il dorso.	22 until he has repaid al people as their deeds deserve and human actions as their intentions merit,
23 E si vendicherà delle nazioni, finché non avrà dispersa la folla dei superbi e infranti gli scettri degli iniqui;	23 until he has judged the case of his people and made them rejoice in his mercy.
24 finché non avrà reso agli uomini secondo le loro opere, secondo le azioni dell'uomo, secondo la sua presunzione;	24 Mercy is welcome in time of trouble, like rain clouds in time of drought.
25 finchè non avrà fatto giustizia al suo popolo, e consolati i giusti colla sua misericordia.
26 Bella è la misericordia di Dio nel tempo della tribolazione, come nubi cariche di pioggia nel tempo della siccità.
