Prima lettera ai Corinzi (1 كورنثوس) 2

SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 وانا لما أتيت اليكم ايها الاخوة أتيت ليس بسمو الكلام او الحكمة مناديا لكم بشهادة الله.	1 Now when I came to you, brothers, I did not come with any brilliance of oratory or wise argument toannounce to you the mystery of God.
2 لاني لم أعزم ان اعرف شيئا بينكم الا يسوع المسيح واياه مصلوبا.	2 I was resolved that the only knowledge I would have while I was with you was knowledge of Jesus, andof him as the crucified Christ.
3 وانا كنت عندكم في ضعف وخوف ورعدة كثيرة.	3 I came among you in weakness, in fear and great trembling
4 وكلامي وكرازتي لم يكونا بكلام الحكمة الانسانية المقنع بل ببرهان الروح والقوة	4 and what I spoke and proclaimed was not meant to convince by philosophical argument, but todemonstrate the convincing power of the Spirit,
5 لكي لا يكون ايمانكم بحكمة الناس بل بقوة الله	5 so that your faith should depend not on human wisdom but on the power of God.
6 لكننا نتكلم بحكمة بين الكاملين ولكن بحكمة ليست من هذا الدهر ولا من عظماء هذا الدهر الذين يبطلون.	6 But stil , to those who have reached maturity, we do talk of a wisdom, not, it is true, a philosophy of thisage or of the rulers of this age, who will not last long now.
7 بل نتكلم بحكمة الله في سرّ. الحكمة المكتومة التي سبق الله فعينها قبل الدهور لمجدنا.	7 It is of the mysterious wisdom of God that we talk, the wisdom that was hidden, which God predestinedto be for our glory before the ages began.
8 التي لم يعلمها احد من عظماء هذا الدهر. لان لو عرفوا لما صلبوا رب المجد.	8 None of the rulers of the age recognised it; for if they had recognised it, they would not have crucifiedthe Lord of glory;
9 بل كما هو مكتوب ما لم تر عين ولم تسمع اذن ولم يخطر على بال انسان ما اعده الله للذين يحبونه	9 but it is as scripture says: What no eye has seen and no ear has heard, what the mind of man cannotvisualise; al that God has prepared for those who love him;
10 فاعلنه الله لنا نحن بروحه. لان الروح يفحص كل شيء حتى اعماق الله.	10 to us, though, God has given revelation through the Spirit, for the Spirit explores the depths ofeverything, even the depths of God.
11 لان من من الناس يعرف امور الانسان الا روح الانسان الذي فيه. هكذا ايضا امور الله لا يعرفها احد الا روح الله.	11 After al , is there anyone who knows the qualities of anyone except his own spirit, within him; and inthe same way, nobody knows the qualities of God except the Spirit of God.
12 ونحن لم نأخذ روح العالم بل الروح الذي من الله لنعرف الاشياء الموهوبة لنا من الله	12 Now, the Spirit we have received is not the spirit of the world but God's own Spirit, so that we mayunderstand the lavish gifts God has given us.
13 التي نتكلم بها ايضا لا باقوال تعلّمها حكمة انسانية بل بما يعلّمه الروح القدس قارنين الروحيات بالروحيات.	13 And these are what we speak of, not in the terms learnt from human philosophy, but in terms learntfrom the Spirit, fitting spiritual language to spiritual things.
14 ولكن الانسان الطبيعي لا يقبل ما لروح الله لانه عنده جهالة. ولا يقدر ان يعرفه لانه انما يحكم فيه روحيا.	14 The natural person has no room for the gifts of God's Spirit; to him they are folly; he cannot recognisethem, because their value can be assessed only in the Spirit.
15 واما الروحي فيحكم في كل شيء وهو لا يحكم فيه من احد.	15 The spiritual person, on the other hand, can assess the value of everything, and that person's valuecannot be assessed by anybody else.
16 لانه من عرف فكر الرب فيعلمه. واما نحن فلنا فكر المسيح	16 For: who has ever known the mind of the Lord? Who has ever been his adviser? But we are thosewho have the mind of Christ.
