1 And in the right hand of the One sitting upon the throne, I saw a book, written inside and out, sealed with seven seals.	1 - E vidi nella destra di colui che sedeva sul trono un libro scritto di dentro e di fuori, sigillato con sette sigilli.
2 And I saw a strong Angel, proclaiming with a great voice, “Who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals?”	2 E vidi un angelo potente, che bandiva a gran voce: «Chi è degno d'aprire il libro e sciogliere i suoi sigilli?».
3 And no one was able, neither in heaven, nor on earth, nor under the earth, to open the book, nor to gaze upon it.	3 E nessuno nel cielo nè sulla terra nè sotto la terra poteva aprire il libro nè guardarlo.
4 And I wept greatly because no one was found worthy to open the book, nor to see it.	4 E io piangevo molto, che nessuno s'era trovato degno di aprire il libro nè di guardarlo.
5 And one of the elders said to me: “Weep not. Behold, the lion from the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has prevailed to open the book and to break its seven seals.”	5 E uno de' vecchi mi disse: «Non piangere! Ecco, ha vinto il leone della tribù di Giuda, il rampollo di David, sì da aprire il libro e sciogliere i suoi sette sigilli».
6 And I saw, and behold, in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb was standing, as if it were slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God, sent forth to all the earth.	6 E in mezzo al trono dei quattro animali e in mezzo ai vecchi, ecco, io vidi un agnello in piedi, come sgozzato, il quale aveva sette corna e sette occhi, che sono i sette spiriti di Dio mandati per tutta la terra.
7 And he approached and received the book from the right hand of the One sitting upon the throne.	7 E venne e prese il libro dalla destra di colui che sedeva sul trono.
8 And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having stringed instruments, as well as golden bowls full of fragrances, which are the prayers of the saints.	8 E quando ebbe preso il libro, i quattro animali e i ventiquattro vecchi si prostrarono al cospetto dell'agnello, avendo ciascuno una cetra e coppe d'oro piene di profumi, che sono le preghiere dei santi.
9 And they were singing a new canticle, saying: “O Lord, you are worthy to receive the book and to open its seals, because you were slain and have redeemed us for God, by your blood, from every tribe and language and people and nation.	9 E cantavano un inno nuovo, dicendo: «Degno tu sei, o Signore, di prendere il libro e di aprire i suoi sigilli, perchè sei stato sgozzato e col tuo sangue hai comprato a Dio [uomini] da ogni tribù e lingua e popolo e nazione,
10 And you have made us into a kingdom and into priests for our God, and we shall reign over the earth.”	10 e li hai fatti per il nostro Dio popolo regale e sacerdote, e regneranno sulla terra».
11 And I saw, and I heard the voice of many Angels surrounding the throne and the living creatures and the elders, (and their number was thousands of thousands)	11 E vidi e udii una voce di molti angeli intorno al trono e agli animali, e ai vecchi ed era il loro numero miriadi di miriadi, migliaia di migliaia,
12 saying with a great voice: “The Lamb who was slain is worthy to receive power, and divinity, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.”	12 che dicevano a gran voce: «Degno l'agnello, che è stato sgozzato, di ricever la potenza e la ricchezza e la sapienza e la forza e l'onore e la gloria e la benedizione».
13 And every creature that is in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and all that is within the sea: I heard them all saying: “To the One sitting upon the throne and to the Lamb be blessing, and honor, and glory, and authority, forever and ever.”	13 E ogni creatura ch'è nel cielo e sulla terra e sotto la terra e sul mare, e tutte le cose in essi contenute, udii che dicevano: «A colui che siede sul trono e all'agnello, la benedizione e l'onore e la gloria e il potere per i secoli de' secoli!».
14 And the four living creatures were saying, “Amen.” And the twenty-four elders fell down on their faces, and they adored the One who lives forever and ever.	14 E i quattro animali dicevano: «Amen!». E i ventiquattro vecchi caddero bocconi e adorarono il Vivente per i secoli de' secoli.
