Psalms 115

1 Alleluia. I had confidence, because of what I was saying, but then I was greatly humbled.	1 Alleluia. Io ho creduto; per la quale cosa io ho parlato; ma io fui molto abbassato.
2 I said in my excess, “Every man is a liar.”	2 Io dissi nella contemplazione mia: ogni uomo è bugiardo.
3 What shall I repay to the Lord, for all the things that he has repaid to me?	3 Che renderò al Signore per tutte le cose che mi ha donate?
4 I will take up the cup of salvation, and I will call upon the name of the Lord.	4 Porrò il calice del Salvatore; e invocard il nome del Signore.
5 I will repay my vows to the Lord, in the sight of all his people.	5 Al Signore renderò li miei voti in presenza di tutto lo populo suo;
6 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his holy ones.	6 nel cospetto del Signore preziosa è la morte de' [suoi] santi.
7 O Lord, because I am your servant, your servant and the son of your handmaid, you have broken my bonds.	7 O Signore, per che io son il servo tuo, e figliuolo dell' ancilla tua, hai rotti li miei legami;
8 I will sacrifice to you the sacrifice of praise, and I will invoke the name of the Lord.	8 a te sacrificarò il sacrificio di laude, e invocarò il nome del Signore.
9 I will repay my vows to the Lord in the sight of all his people,	9 Al Signore renderò li miei voti nel conspetto di tutto lo populo suo;
10 in the courts of the house of the Lord, in your midst, O Jerusalem.	10 ne' portici della casa del Signore, in mezzo di te, o Ierusalem.
