1 Also, there were the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel. For indeed, he was his firstborn, but when he had violated the bed of his father, his right as firstborn was given to the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel, and he was not reputed as firstborn.	1 I figliuoli di Ruben primogenito di Israel; esso certo fu primogenito, ma avendo egli contaminato il letto del suo padre, la sua primogenitura fu data ai figliuoli di Iosef figliuolo di Israel, e non fu avuto per suo primogenito.
2 Moreover, Judah, who was strongest among his brothers, from his stock leaders sprung up, but the right of firstborn was reputed to Joseph.	2 E di Iuda, il quale era fortissimo tra' suoi fratelli, della sua stirpe nascerono principi; ma la primogenitura fu di Iosef.
3 So then, the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, were Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.	3 Onde gli figliuoli di Ruben, primogenito d' Israel: Enoc e Fallu, Esron e Carmi.
4 The sons of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,	4 I figliuoli di Ioel: Samia suo figliuolo, Gog suo figliuolo, Semei suo figliuolo;
5 Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son,	5 Mica suo figliuolo, Reia suo figliuolo, Baal suo figliuolo;

9 And he lived toward the eastern region, as far as the entrance to the wilderness and the river Euphrates. 10 Then, in the days of Saul, they battled against the Hagarites and put them to death. And they lived in place of them, in their dwellings, throughout the entire region that looks to the east of Gilead.	10 E nel tempo di Saul combatterono contro gli Agarei; e uccisergli, e abitarono per loro nelli loro tabernacoli, in ogni parte che guarda all' oriente di Galaad.
11 Truly, the sons of Gad lived in the opposite region from them, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:	11 I figliuoli di Gad dalla parte loro abitarono nella terra di Basan insino a Selca.
12 Joel the head, and Shapham the second, then Janai and Shaphat, in Bashan.	12 Ioel abitò nel capo, il secondo Safan; e Ianai e Safat in Basan.

16 And they lived in Gilead, and in Bashan and its towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, as far as the borders.	16 E abitarono nella terra di Galaad e in Basan e ne' suoi borghetti e in tutti gli sobborghi di Saron, insino a' termini.
17 All these were numbered in the days of Jotham, the king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the king of Israel:	17 Tutti questi furono numerati nel tempo di Ioatan re di Giuda, e nel tempo di Ieroboam re d' Israel.
18 the sons of Reuben, and of Gad, and the one half tribe of Manasseh, men of war, carrying shields and swords, and bending the bow, and trained for battle, forty-four thousand and seven hundred sixty, advancing to the fight.	18 I figliuoli di Ruben e di Gad e di mezza la tribù di Manasse, uomini (buoni) combattitori, e portavano scuda e coltella, e tendenti l'arco e ammaestrati a battaglia; quarantaquattro milia settecento sessanta, andando alla battaglia,
19 They struggled against the Hagarites, yet truly the Jetureans, and Naphish, and Nodab offered assistance to them.	19 combatterono contro agli Agarei; ma gli Turei, e Nafi e Nodab
20 And the Hagarites were delivered into their hands, and all who were with them. For they called upon God while they did battle. And he heeded them, because they had trusted in him.	20 gli diedero ajuto. E furono dati gli Agarei nelle loro mani, e tutti quelli ch' erano con esso loro; però che quando combatterono, sì invocarono Iddio, ed esaudìgli, poichè credettero a lui.
21 And they seized all that they possessed, of camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred fifty thousand, and of donkeys two thousand, and of men one hundred thousand lives.	21 E presero tutte le cose che possedeano, cinquantamilia di cammelli, duecento cinquantamilia di pecore, e duomilia asini, e centomilia uomini.
22 And many fell down wounded. For it was a war of the Lord. And they lived in place of them, until the transmigration.	22 E de' feriti morirono molti; però che fu battaglia del Signore. E abitarono per loro insino alla transmigrazione.
23 Also, the sons of the one half tribe of Manasseh possessed the land, from the parts of Bashan as far as Baal, Hermon, and Sanir, and Mount Hermon. For certainly, their number was immense.	23 E' figliuoli della mezza tribù di Manasse possederono la terra da' confini di Basan insino a Baal, Ermon e Sanir, e il monte Ermon; però ch' era molto grande numero.
24 And these were leaders of the house of their kindred: Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, very valiant and powerful men, and renown leaders in their families.	24 E questi furono i principi della casa del parentado loro: Efer e Iesi ed Eliel, Ezriel, Ieremia e Odoia e Iediel, uomini fortissimi e potenti, e nominati capitani nelle famiglie loro.
25 But they abandoned the God of their fathers, and they fornicated after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God took away before them.	25 E lasciarono lo Iddio delli padri loro, e fornicarono dopo gli dii de' popoli della terra, i quali il Signore tolse via dal cospetto loro.
26 And so the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul, the king of the Assyrians, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser, the king of Assur. And he took away Reuben, and Gad, and the one half tribe of Manasseh. And he led them to Halah, and to Habor, and to Hara, and to the river of Gozan, even to this day.	26 E suscitò Iddio d' Israel lo spirito di Ful re degli Assirii, e lo spirito di Telgatfalnasar re di Assur; e translatò Ruben e Gad e mezza la tribù di
