1 Corinthians 6

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Is one of you with a complaint against another so brazen as to seek judgement from sinners and notfrom God's holy people?	1 Hogyan merészeli közületek valaki, akinek peres ügye van a másikkal szemben, a hitetleneknél keresni igazságot és nem a szenteknél?
2 Do you not realise that the holy people of God are to be the judges of the world? And if the world is tobe judged by you, are you not competent for petty cases?	2 Vagy nem tudjátok, hogy a szentek fogják a világot megítélni? Ha pedig ti fogjátok megítélni a világot, talán méltatlanok vagytok arra, hogy jelentéktelen dolgokban ítélkezzetek?
3 Do you not realise that we shal be the judges of angels? - then quite certainly over matters of this life.	3 Nem tudjátok, hogy angyalok fölött fogunk ítélkezni? Mennyivel inkább világi dolgok fölött!
4 But when you have matters of this life to be judged, you bring them before those who are of no accountin the Church!	4 Amikor tehát világi dolgokban pereskedtek, azokat teszitek meg bírónak, akik az egyházban semmit sem számítanak?
5 I say this to make you ashamed of yourselves. Can it real y be that it is impossible to find in thecommunity one sensible person capable of deciding questions between brothers,	5 Azért mondom ezt, hogy szégyelljétek magatokat! Ennyire nincs köztetek egyetlen bölcs ember sem, aki ítéletet tudna mondani testvérei ügyében?
6 and that this is why brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?	6 Testvér a testvérével pereskedik, és pedig hitetlenek előtt?
7 No; it is a fault in you, by itself, that one of you should go to law against another at al : why do you notprefer to suffer injustice, why not prefer to be defrauded?	7 Egyáltalában már az is hiba nálatok, hogy peres ügyeitek vannak egymással. Miért nem viselitek el inkább az igazságtalanságot? Miért nem tűritek el inkább a károsodást?
8 And here you are, doing the injustice and the defrauding, and to your own brothers.	8 E helyett ti követtek el igazságtalanságot és okoztok kárt, mégpedig testvéreknek!
9 Do you not realise that people who do evil wil never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake --the sexual y immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,	9 Vagy nem tudjátok, hogy a gonoszok nem részesülnek Isten országában? Ne ámítsátok magatokat: sem paráznák, sem bálványimádók, sem házasságtörők, sem kéjencek, sem férfiakkal paráználkodó férfiak,
10 thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these wil inherit the kingdom of God.	10 sem tolvajok, sem kapzsik, sem iszákosak, sem átkozódók, sem rablók nem részesülnek Isten országában.
11 Some of you used to be of that kind: but you have been washed clean, you have been sanctified, andyou have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.	11 Bizony, ilyenek voltatok néhányan; de meg lettetek mosva, megszentelést nyertetek, és megigazultatok az Úr Jézus Krisztus nevében, a mi Istenünk Lelke által.
12 'For me everything is permissible'; maybe, but not everything does good. True, for me everything ispermissible, but I am determined not to be dominated by anything.	12 »Minden szabad nekem!« Csakhogy nem minden használ. »Minden szabad nekem!« Csakhogy én ne legyek semminek a rabszolgája.
13 Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach is for foods; and God wil destroy them both. But thebody is not for sexual immorality;	13 »Az étel a gyomorért van, s a gyomor az ételért!« De Isten ezt is, azt is megsemmisíti. A test azonban nem a paráznaságért van, hanem az Úrért, az Úr pedig a testért.
14 it is for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. God raised up the Lord and he will raise us up too by hispower.	14 Isten ugyanis feltámasztotta az Urat, és minket is fel fog támasztani hatalmával.
15 Do you not realise that your bodies are members of Christ's body; do you think one can take parts ofChrist's body and join them to the body of a prostitute? Out of the question!	15 Nem tudjátok, hogy a testetek Krisztus tagja? Elszakítsam tehát Krisztus tagját, és parázna nő tagjává tegyem? Semmi esetre sem!
16 Or do you not realise that anyone who attaches himself to a prostitute is one body with her, since thetwo, as it is said, become one flesh.	16 Vagy nem tudjátok, hogy aki parázna nővel egyesül, egy testté lesz vele? Mert – amint az Írás mondja – »ketten egy testté lesznek« .
17 But anyone who attaches himself to the Lord is one spirit with him.	17 Aki pedig az Úrral egyesül, egy Lélek ővele.
18 Keep away from sexual immorality. Al other sins that people may commit are done outside the body;but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.	18 Kerüljétek a paráznaságot! Minden bűn, amelyet az ember elkövet, a testen kívül van; aki azonban paráználkodik, az a saját teste ellen vétkezik.
19 Do you not realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you and whom youreceived from God?	19 Vagy nem tudjátok, hogy testetek a Szentlélek temploma, aki bennetek van, s akit Istentől kaptatok, tehát nem vagytok a magatokéi?
20 You are not your own property, then; you have been bought at a price. So use your body for the gloryof God.	20 Mert nagy árat fizettek értetek! Dicsőítsétek meg tehát Istent testetekben.
