Leviticus 27

1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 El Señor dijo a Moisés:
2 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When anyone fulfills a vow of offering one or more persons to the LORD, who are to be ransomed at a fixed sum of money,	2 Habla en estos términos a los israelitas: Si alguien ofrece como voto al Señor la suma equivalente a una persona,
3 for persons between the ages of twenty and sixty, the fixed sum, in sanctuary shekels, shall be fifty silver shekels for a man,	3 se aplicará la siguiente tasación: Si es un varón de veinte a sesenta años, la suma será de cincuenta siclos de plata, en siclos del Santuario;
4 and thirty shekels for a woman;	4 y si es una mujer, la suma será de treinta siclos.
5 for persons between the ages of five and twenty, the fixed sum shall be twenty shekels for a youth, and ten for a maiden;	5 Si la edad es de cinco a veinte años, la suma será de veinte siclos por un varón y de diez por una mujer.
6 for persons between the ages of one month and five years, the fixed sum shall be five silver shekels for a boy, and three for a girl;	6 Si la edad es de un mes a cinco años, la suma será de cinco siclos de plata por un varón y de tres por una mujer.
7 for persons of sixty or more, the fixed sum shall be fifteen shekels for a man, and ten for a woman.	7 Si la edad es de sesenta años en adelante, la suma será de quince siclos por un varón y de diez por una mujer.
8 However, if the one who took the vow is too poor to meet the fixed sum, the person must be set before the priest, who shall determine the sum for his ransom in keeping with the means of the one who made the vow.	8 Pero si el oferente es demasiado pobre para pagar la suma establecida, se presentará al sacerdote, el cual fijará un equivalente proporcionado a los recursos del que hace el voto.
9 "If the offering vowed to the LORD is an animal that may be sacrificed, every such animal, when vowed to the LORD, becomes sacred.	9 Si alguien entrega un animal de los que pueden ser presentados al Señor como ofrenda, el animal ofrecido será una cosa sagrada.
10 The offerer shall not present a substitute for it by exchanging either a better for a worse one or a worse for a better one. If he attempts to offer one animal in place of another, both the original and its substitute shall be treated as sacred.	10 No está permitido cambiarlo o sustituirlo por otro, ya sea bueno por malo o malo por bueno. Si alguien sustituye un animal por otro, tanto el animal ofrecido como su sustituto serán una cosa sagrada.
11 If the animal vowed to the LORD is unclean and therefore unfit for sacrifice, it must be set before the priest,	11 Si se trata de un animal impuro, que no puede ser presentado como ofrenda al Señor, será presentado ante el sacerdote,
12 who shall determine its value in keeping with its good or bad qualities, and the value set by the priest shall stand.	12 el cual lo tasará. Sea alta o baja, se aceptará la tasación fijada por el sacerdote;
13 If the offerer wishes to redeem the animal, he shall pay one fifth more than this valuation.	13 y si alguien quiere rescatar el animal, tendrá que añadir un quinto más a la suma establecida.
14 "When someone dedicates his house as sacred to the LORD, the priest shall determine its value in keeping with its good or bad points, and the value set by the priest shall stand.	14 Si un hombre consagra su casa al Señor, el sacerdote deberá tasarla. Sea alta o baja, se aceptará la tasación fijada por el sacerdote.
15 If the one who dedicated his house wishes to redeem it, he shall pay one fifth more than the price thus established, and then it will again be his.	15 Y si el que consagró su casa desea rescatarla, deberá añadir un quinto a la suma en que ha sido tasada, y así volverá a ser suya.
16 "If the object which someone dedicates to the LORD is a piece of his hereditary land, its valuation shall be made according to the amount of seed required to sow it, the acreage sown with a homer of barley seed being valued at fifty silver shekels.	16 Si un hombre consagra al Señor algún terreno de su propiedad, este será tasado según la cantidad de semilla que se pueda sembrar en él: cincuenta siclos de plata por cada cuatrocientos kilos de semilla de cebada.
17 If the dedication of a field is made at the beginning of a jubilee period, the full valuation shall hold;	17 Si lo consagra en el año mismo del jubileo, se mantendrá esta tasación.
18 but if it is some time after this, the priest shall estimate its money value according to the number of years left until the next jubilee year, with a corresponding rebate on the valuation.	18 Pero si consagra su campo después del jubileo, el sacerdote deberá computar el precio en razón de los años que falten para el jubileo, y así se hará el descuento correspondiente.
19 If the one who dedicated his field wishes to redeem it, he shall pay one fifth more than the price thus established, and so reclaim it.	19 Si el que consagró su campo lo quiere rescatar, tendrá que añadir un quinto a la suma en que ha sido tasado, y así volverá a ser suyo.
20 If, instead of redeeming such a field, he sells it to someone else, it may no longer be redeemed;	20 Pero si no rescata su campo y este es vendido a otro, ya no será rescatable:
21 but at the jubilee it shall be released as sacred to the LORD; like a field that is doomed, it shall become priestly property.	21 cuando quede libre en el año jubilar, será consagrado al Señor como si fuera un terreno interdicto, y pasará a ser propiedad del sacerdote.
22 "If the field that some man dedicates to the LORD is one he had purchased and not a part of his hereditary property,	22 Si alguien consagra al Señor un campo que compró, pero que no es terreno de su propiedad,
23 the priest shall compute its value in proportion to the number of years until the next jubilee, and on the same day the price thus established shall be given as sacred to the LORD;	23 deberá computar el importe de su valor hasta el año del jubileo, y la persona pagará ese mismo día la suma en que ha sido tasado, como una ofrenda consagrada al Señor.
24 at the jubilee, however, the field shall revert to the hereditary owner of this land from whom it had been purchased.	24 En el año jubilar el campo volverá al que lo vendió, o sea, al verdadero propietario de la tierra.
25 "Every valuation shall be made according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel. There are twenty gerahs to the shekel.	25 Todas las tasaciones se harán en siclos del Santuario; cada siclo equivale a veinte gueras.
26 "Note that a first-born animal, which as such already belongs to the LORD, may not be dedicated by vow to him. If it is an ox or a sheep, it shall be ceded to the LORD;	26 Sin embargo, nadie podrá consagrar un primogénito de su ganado, ya que, por ser primogénito, pertenece al Señor: sea que se trate de un ternero o de un cordero, pertenecen al Señor.
27 but if it is an unclean animal, it may be redeemed by paying one fifth more than its fixed value. If it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at its fixed value.	27 Pero si se trata de animales impuros, podrán ser rescatados por la suma en que hayan sido tasados, añadiendo una quinta parte de su valor. Si no es rescatado, el animal será vendido por la suma establecida.
28 "Note, also, that any one of his possessions which a man vows as doomed to the LORD, whether it is a human being or an animal or a hereditary field, shall be neither sold nor ransomed; everything that is thus doomed becomes most sacred to the LORD.	28 Ninguno de los bienes que pertenecen a una persona –ya sea un hombre, un animal o un campo de su propiedad– podrá ser vendido o rescatado si ha sido consagrado al Señor por el exterminio total: todas esas cosas están exclusivamente consagradas al Señor.
29 All human beings that are doomed lose the right to be redeemed; they must be put to death.	29 Tampoco podrá ser liberada ninguna persona que deba ser exterminada, sino que se le hará morir.
30 "All tithes of the land, whether in grain from the fields or in fruit from the trees, belong to the LORD, as sacred to him.	30 La décima parte de lo que produce la tierra –tanto los campos sembrados como los árboles frutales– pertenece al Señor: es una cosa consagrada al Señor.
31 If someone wishes to buy back any of his tithes, he shall pay one fifth more than their value.	31 Si un hombre quiere rescatar alguna parte de sus diezmos, deberá añadir un quinto de su valor.
32 The tithes of the herd and the flock shall be determined by ceding to the LORD as sacred every tenth animal as they are counted by the herdsman's rod.	32 La décima parte del ganado mayor o menor –o sea, uno cada diez de todos los animales que pasan bajo el cayado del pastor– será consagrada al Señor.
33 It shall not matter whether good ones or bad ones are thus chosen, and no exchange may be made. If any exchange is attempted, both the original animal and its substitute shall be treated as sacred, without the right of being bought back."	33 Nadie deberá seleccionar entre lo bueno y lo malo, o sustituir uno por otro. Si hace el sustituto serán una cosa sagrada, y no se los podrá rescatar.
34 These are the commandments which the LORD gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites.	34 Estos son los mandamientos que el Señor dio a Moisés para los israelitas sobre la montaña del Sinaí.
