2 Had not the LORD been with us, when people rose against us,	2 se il Signore non fosse stato per noi quando ci assalivano gli uomini,
3 They would have swallowed us alive, for their fury blazed against us.	3 certamente ci avrebbero inghiottiti vivi, quando divampò il loro furore contro di noi.
4 The waters would have engulfed us, the torrent overwhelmed us;	4 Certamente ci avrebbero travolti le acque, un torrente sarebbe passato su di noi.
5 seething waters would have drowned us.	5 Certamente acque impetuose sarebbero passate su di noi.
6 Blessed be the LORD, who did not leave us to be torn by their fangs.	6 Benedetto sia il Signore, perché non ha permesso che fossimo preda dei loro denti.
7 We escaped with our lives like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare was broken and we escaped.	7 L'anima nostra è stata liberata, come l'uccello dal laccio del cacciatore: il laccio si è spezzato e noi siamo tornati in libertà.
