1 A psalm of David. I sing of love and justice; to you, LORD, I sing praise.	1 [Ein Psalm Davids.] Von Gnade und Recht will ich singen; dir, o Herr, will ich spielen.
2 I follow the way of integrity; when will you come to me? I act with integrity of heart within my royal court.	2 Ich will auf den Weg der Bewährten achten. Wann kommst du zu mir? Ich lebe in der Stille meines Hauses mit lauterem Herzen.
3 I do not allow into my presence anyone who speaks perversely. Whoever acts shamefully I hate; no such person can be my friend.	3 Ich richte mein Auge nicht auf Schändliches; ich hasse es, Unrecht zu tun, es soll nicht an mir haften.
4 I shun the devious of heart; the wicked I do not tolerate.	4 Falschheit sei meinem Herzen fern; ich will das Böse nicht kennen.
5 Whoever slanders another in secret I reduce to silence. Haughty eyes and arrogant hearts I cannot endure.	5 Wer den Nächsten heimlich verleumdet, den bring ich zum Schweigen. Stolze Augen und hochmütige Herzen kann ich nicht ertragen.
6 I look to the faithful of the land; they alone can be my companions. Those who follow the way of integrity, they alone can enter my service.	6 Meine Augen suchen die Treuen im Land; sie sollen bei mir wohnen. Wer auf rechten Wegen geht, der darf mir dienen.
7 No one who practices deceit can hold a post in my court. No one who speaks falsely can be among my advisors.	7 In meinem Haus soll kein Betrüger wohnen; kein Lügner kann vor meinen Augen bestehen.
8 Each morning I clear the wicked from the land, and rid the LORD'S city of all evildoers.	8 Morgen für Morgen spreche ich das Urteil über die Frevler im Land, um in der Stadt des Herrn alle auszurotten, die Unrecht tun.
