Psalms 101

1 A psalm of David. I sing of love and justice; to you, LORD, I sing praise.	1 Di Davide. Salmo.Amore e giustizia io voglio cantare,voglio cantare inni a te, Signore.
2 I follow the way of integrity; when will you come to me? I act with integrity of heart within my royal court.	2 Agirò con saggezza nella via dell’innocenza:quando a me verrai?Camminerò con cuore innocentedentro la mia casa.
3 I do not allow into my presence anyone who speaks perversely. Whoever acts shamefully I hate; no such person can be my friend.	3 Non sopporterò davanti ai miei occhi azioni malvagie,detesto chi compie delitti: non mi starà vicino.
4 I shun the devious of heart; the wicked I do not tolerate.	4 Lontano da me il cuore perverso,il malvagio non lo voglio conoscere.
5 Whoever slanders another in secret I reduce to silence. Haughty eyes and arrogant hearts I cannot endure.	5 Chi calunnia in segreto il suo prossimoio lo ridurrò al silenzio;chi ha occhio altero e cuore superbonon lo potrò sopportare.
6 I look to the faithful of the land; they alone can be my companions. Those who follow the way of integrity, they alone can enter my service.	6 I miei occhi sono rivolti ai fedeli del paeseperché restino accanto a me:chi cammina nella via dell’innocenza,costui sarà al mio servizio.
7 No one who practices deceit can hold a post in my court. No one who speaks falsely can be among my advisors.	7 Non abiterà dentro la mia casachi agisce con inganno,chi dice menzognenon starà alla mia presenza.
8 Each morning I clear the wicked from the land, and rid the LORD'S city of all evildoers.	8 Ridurrò al silenzio ogni mattinotutti i malvagi del paese,per estirpare dalla città del Signorequanti operano il male.
