1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.	1 Or, un jour de sabbat appelé second-premier, il arriva que, comme Il passait le long des blés, Ses disciples arrachaient des épis, et les mangeaient, après les avoir froissés dans leurs mains.
2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?	2 Et quelques-uns des pharisiens leur disaient: Pourquoi faites-vous ce qui n'est pas permis aux jours de sabbat?
3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;	3 Et Jésus leur répondit: N'avez-vous pas lu ce que fit David, lorsqu'il eut faim lui et ceux qui l'accompagnaient;
4 How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?	4 comment il entra dans la maison de Dieu, et prit les pains de proposition, en mangea, et en donna à ceux qui étaient avec lui, quoiqu'il ne soit permis qu'aux seuls prêtres d'en manger?
5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.	5 Et Il leur disait: Le Fils de l'homme est Maître même du sabbat.
6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.	6 Il arriva, un autre jour de sabbat, qu'Il entra dans la synagogue et qu'Il enseignait; et il y avait là un homme dont la main droite était desséchée.
7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.	7 Or les scribes et les pharisiens L'observaient, pour voir s'Il ferait une guérison le jour du sabbat, afin de trouver de quoi L'accuser.
8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.	8 Mais Lui, Il connaissait leurs pensées, et Il dit à l'homme qui avait la main desséchée: Lève-toi, et tiens-toi là au milieu. Et se levant, il se tint debout.
9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?	9 Alors Jésus leur dit: Je vous demande s'il est permis, les jours de sabbat, de faire du bien ou de faire du mal, de sauver la vie ou de l'ôter?
10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.	10 Et ayant promené Ses regards sur eux tous, Il dit à l'homme: Etends ta main. Il l'étendit, et sa main fut guérie.
11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.	11 Mais eux, remplis de démence, s'entretenaient ensemble de ce qu'ils feraient à Jésus.
12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.	12 Or il arriva qu'en ces jours-là Il S'en alla sur une montagne pour prier, et Il passa toute la nuit à prier Dieu.
13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;	13 Et quand le jour fut venu, Il appela Ses disciples; et Il en choisit douze d'entre eux, qu'Il nomma apôtres:
14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,	14 Simon auquel Il donna le surnom de Pierre, et André son frère, Jacques et Jean, Philippe et Barthélemy,
15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,	15 Matthieu et Thomas, Jacques fils d'Alphée, et Simon appelé le Zélote,
16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.	16 Jude frère de Jacques, et Judas Iscariote, qui fut le traître.
17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;	17 Et descendant avec eux, Il S'arrêta dans une plaine, avec la troupe de Ses disciples et une grande multitude de peuple de toute la Judée, et de Jérusalem, et de la contrée maritime, et de Tyr, et de Sidon;
18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.	18 ils étaient venus pour L'entendre et pour être guéris de leurs maladies. Et ceux qui étaient tourmentés par des esprits impurs étaient guéris.
19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.	19 Et toute la foule cherchait à Le toucher, parce qu'une vertu sortait de Lui et les guérissait tous.
20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.	20 Et Lui, levant les yeux sur Ses disciples, disait: Bienheureux, vous qui êtes pauvres, parce que le royaume de Dieu est à vous.
21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.	21 Bienheureux, vous qui avez faim maintenant, parce que vous serez rassasiés. Bienheureux, vous qui pleurez maintenant, parce que vous rirez.
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.	22 Bienheurex serez-vous lorsque les hommes vous haïront, et vous repousseront, et vous outrageront, et lorsqu'ils rejetteront votre nom comme infâme, à cause du Fils de l'homme.
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.	23 Réjouissez-vous en ce jour-là et soyez dans l'allégresse, parce que votre récompense est grande dans le Ciel; car c'est ainsi que leurs pères traitaient les prophètes.
24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.	24 Mais malheur à vous, riches, parce que vous avez votre consolation.
25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.	25 Malheur à vous qui êtes rassasiés, parce que vous aurez faim. Malheur à vous qui riez maintenant, parce que vous serez dans le deuil et dans les larmes.
26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.	26 Malheur à vous lorsque les hommes diront du bien de vous, car c'est ainsi que leurs pères traitaient les faux prophètes.
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,	27 Mais à vous qui M'écoutez, Je dis: Aimez vos ennemis, faites du bien à ceux qui vous haïssent.
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.	28 Bénissez ceux qui vous maudissent, et priez pour ceux qui vous calomnient.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.	29 Et à celui qui te frappe sur une joue, présente encore l'autre; et celui qui te prend ton manteau, ne l'empêche pas de prendre aussi ta tunique.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.	30 Donne à quiconque te demande, et ne redemande pas ton bien à celui qui s'en empare.
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.	31 Et ce que vous voulez que les hommes vous fassent, faites-le-leur vous aussi, pareillement.
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.	32 Si vous aimez ceux qui vous aiment, quel gré vous en saura-t-on? car les pécheurs aussi aiment ceux qui les aiment.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.	33 Et si vous faites du bien à ceux qui vous en font, quel gré vous en saura-t-on? car les pécheurs aussi font cela.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.	34 Et si vous prêtez à ceux de qui vous espérez recevoir, quel gré vous en saura-t-on? car les pécheurs aussi prêtent aux pécheurs, afin de recevoir la pareille.
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.	35 Mais vous, aimez vos ennemis, faites du bien, et donnez beaucoup sans en rien esperer, et votre récompense sera grande, et vous serez les fils du Très-Haut, car Il est bon pour les ingrats et les méchants.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.	36 Soyez donc miséricordieux, comme votre Père est miséricordieux.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:	37 Ne jugez point, et vous ne serez pas jugés; ne condamnez point, et vous ne serez pas condamnés; pardonnez, et on vous pardonnera.
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.	38 Donnez, et on vous donnera: on versera dans votre sein une bonne mesure, pressée, et secouée, et qui débordera. Car la même mesure avec laquelle vous aurez mesuré servira de mesure pour vous.
39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?	39 Il leur proposait aussi cette comparaison: Est-ce qu'un aveugle peut conduire un aveugle? Ne tomberont-ils pas tous deux dans la fosse?
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.	40 Le disciple n'est pas au-dessus du maître; mais tout disciple sera parfait, s'il est comme son maître.
41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?	41 Pourquoi vois-tu le fétu dans l'oeil de ton frère, sans apercevoir la poutre qui est dans ton oeil?
42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.	42 Ou comment peux-tu dire à ton frère: Frère, laisse-moi ôter le fétu qui est dans ton oeil, toi qui ne vois pas la poutre qui est dans le tien? Hypocrite, ôte d'abord la poutre qui est dans ton oeil, et ensuite tu verras comment tu pourras ôter le fétu de l'oeil de ton frère.
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.	43 Car un arbre n'est pas bon, s'il produit de mauvais fruits, et un arbre n'est pas mauvais, s'il produit de bons fruits.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.	44 Car chaque arbre se connaît à son fruit. On ne cueille point de figues sur les épines, et on ne vendange pas le raisin sur des ronces.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.	45 L'homme bon tire de bonnes choses du bon trésor de son coeur, et l'homme mauvais tire de mauvaises choses de son mauvais trésor; car la bouche parle de l'abondance du coeur.
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?	46 Pourquoi M'appelez-vous Seigneur! Seigneur! et ne faites-vous pas ce que Je vous dis?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:	47 Quiconque vient à Moi, et écoute Mes paroles, et les met en pratique, Je vous montrerai à qui il ressemble.
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.	48 Il ressemble à un homme qui, bâtissant une maison, a creusé bien avant, et a posé le fondement sur la pierre; l'inondation étant survenue, le torrent s'est précipité sur cette maison et n'a pu l'ébranler, parce qu'elle était fondée sur la pierre.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.	49 Mais celui qui écoute et ne met pas en pratique, ressemble à un homme qui a bâti sa maison sur la terre, sans fondement; le torrent s'est précipité sur elle, et aussitôt elle est tombée, et la ruine de cette maison a été grande.
